Sound very much like the prog bands on the 70s such as Mahavishnu Orchestra, Gong, Chick Corea etc. I like it tho but I don't think its anything radical. All the trendies will jump on this like 'omg isn't this new' lol.

Er, what the hell is this? Seriously! It's like someone took The Mighty Boosh literally, ran a bit further with it, and tripped over and broke their ankle.
Without naming any bands I'd describe them "psych-rock-death-glam-jazz", or maybe "cosmic monks of the apocalypse". Surprised you mentioned Guillemots TBH...maybe Gong+Hawkwind+Pierre Henry+Sun Ra+too much coffee..?
Saw 'em play last night in London - weak venue (QE Hall on the South Bank) but they put on a fantastic show non-the-less. I can also vouch for their overall loveliness as people.
Get rid of the first two minutes and then we're talking. Seriously though, this is great! I echo CaptainFrantic's sentiment entirely, in the hope that it'll be heard twice as loud.
@Cathryn17 Trust me musician's like this have talent! Technically the prog guys were leagues above other musians. Listen to Chick Corea as example - that guy can shift moods at the blink of an eye like no other musician I know.
wicked, saw them at big chill and they fucking rocked. not enough bands are like gong in my opinion.

Amazing, still loving these guys, though this recording doesn't do them justice after seeing them live, plus album version is mixed much better.
still good enough though.

Here's an equation for you all.
(Guillemots + Noisettes) x Gabriel Era Genesis
That's the closest I can get to the answer of Chrome Hoof, can anyone get closer?
What a band though! Amazing!
