I did it myself...I used to be real passionate about gardening, raising orchid plants, etc.

the only thing in the ground is about 300 sq ft. of grass. the rest is concrete borders, 3/4" blue chip rock, river rocks 1"-6" in diameter.

Basically a Japanes rock garden...stone lanterns, tsukubai (Japanese fountains), orchids and other plants on stacked hollow tile blocks.

but, Family, Karate, life, and now Youtube has left it a little neglected...lol!

No not you don't have to be a Karate Master...Just have pproper training and technique.

A person could force a break and just plow throught the boards but, he risk injuring his hand and/or arm. Imagine a large shard of wood penetrating your forearm because of improper technique...ouch!

Tamashi wari (trial by wood-Board Breaking) is as much mental as it is physical. If you're not confident that you can do the break...man you shouldn't even attempt it.

Keys have there use...I use mine on my Kubaton as a flail.

Now keys as a tactical impact device??? I don't think so. I've shown that the Comtech Stinger II can break( 1, 3, 5, 7,) 1" Pine boards with spacer, (2 & 3) 1" Pine Boards WITHOUT spacers, and (1) 1" pine board-free hanging "a la Enter the Dragon" style....there's articles by Don Rearic, James Keating (inventor) and testimonials in the side-bar.

Post a video of these AMAZING keys and prove they are better...LOL!!!

What can I say you do have a point. For this to be useful you have to always have it. I carry two(see my EDC update) and you have to be aware of your surroundings.

Always in (Condition Yellow-caution) being prepared...with the clear Comtech Stinger II cupped in your hand you can walk around without drawing attention to yourself.

in the (1) and (3) boards break the comtech stinger absorb all the returning force...Newton's 3rd Law of Physics-for every action there's an equal and opposite re-action.

In this (5) boards break my middle knuckle paid the price it felt like a regular break...but, like I said rush the set-up. Hollow tile blocks not level, boards not level & wobbly...video came out okay I guess...lol

Yeah I was already making these breaks harder by using chopsticks as spacers. Instead of spacers of the same thickness...as stated earlier this wasn't my best effort..It was raining hard and this is when the rain let up a little. I was rushing because my camera and I was getting wet. Didn't set the hollow tile block right so they were uneven...thus making the boards uneven you could see it wobble...

Anyway, wood stacked directly on wood is a harder break but, using spacers is how most of the breaks are done..concrete slabs next.

It looks like a very effective tool, I know from practicing with brass knuckles that the impact can hurt your palm/hand if you use enough force. Technique looks good to me! faster than the naked eye can discern!!
