So, how EXACTLY does the Christian Right want it for the USA?
Option A: Embrace the public celebration of Christmas, with all of its implications as a "celebration of the birth of Christ" with all cultural and legal force? Or;
B. A return to the "Christian America of the Puritan Founders"-who regarded the celebration of Christmas as Papist pagentry? (It wasn't celebrated in public until the arrival of German immigrants en mass in the 1800's)

I'm a liberal. Blessed (or placed into my brain by evolution) with SENSE. I just think that Christmas should be acknowledged by anyone who pleases to acknowledge it. The point is, if you're going to be a unified society, why say "holiday" during Christmas with Santa Claus directly in my stinkin face, singing Christmas songs, if somebody doesn't celebrate Christmas? So much for "oneness" during the most celebrated time of year. Even if there was no "oneness" we'd be OK. We didn't ask for this.
