@FiveMillionAnd2 not for extreme gaming and overclocking as this chip has an auto shut off 65c a built in safe guard temps get rather high with the stock cooler your better off with an after market cooler with either 49 cfm or 100 cfm ;)
This isn't a completely accurate comparison..but for price, reliability and temps at idle, max load (depending on ambient) AMD takes the cake, bar none.
@SilkyMuggs The 970x would out preform the 1090t. Intel has hyperthreading and their architecture is very different. Bulldozer should close that gap a bit ;D
Many different ways. You can either (depending on your motherboard) Flip the switch on the board that unlocks the extra cores, and just leave it that way. Or, you can go into a program (Turbo Evo is good) and manually set it that way. Download Cpu-Z and check how many cores are active before and after.
2 things: AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition has 6 Cores JUST like the Intel core I7 980X

2: i Prefer the AMD cause it won the best results in some of those games that i play :) and Intel isen't that good again besides AMD and deff. not when you look what you get for your money nowa days :) savy!

@awesomereece123 Thats an awesome build. Since you mentioned the build is primarily for gaming, I suggest saving a little money and only get 4g of ram. No game consumes more than 4g at any given point. Unless you plan on multitasking like a madman or doing other things like video editing etc. Save your money and cut those gigs in half!
@SilkyMuggs I mentioned it being primarily being for gaming; I also will be doing video renders with such programs as Sony Vegas for video making. Plus I was recommended 8GB of ram, although it was recommended Kingston Hyper-X instead of Corsair.
@awesomereece123 that's overkill for average gamer Spec more suited for professionals in 3D rendering Graphic designers. probably too late but i would wait for bulldozer processors to come out between June-September AMD keep delaying the date. there barely coming out with 990FX chipset motherboards that support the new CPU
so true both are good and its how you use it....and theres no game out or coming out for awhile that needs more than 4 cores! so when you play a game using the i7 its only using 4 of the 8 cores and no more and same with the amd phenom x6 itll use 4 cores of the 6 hints why the amd one will allow you to convert power from two cores to the other 4 cores making it a faster quad core... no sense in bitching!
@01sean there is a differance in the brands intel id the faster of the two but amd has more bang for the buck if your on a buget go amd if you have a white cheacking acc go intel

its a gigabyte mother board i bet. and why the hell do you have a x32 bit processor. anyone who knows anything about building a fast computer knows to, unlock performance.... you need a x64 bit
@IncarnatedGames there is a very good board that is amd and does both crossfire and sli Asus has the Republic of Gamers Crosshair iv extreme edition look it up
@vaas44 i would most definitely go with Windows 7 64 bit ultimate I believe that all current operating systems are fully using multiple cores. The processors that you are comparing MUST run on a 64 bit os to be fully utilized... If you are building for a game then use windows if you are building for media editing then a Macintosh os is best!! Also I think that Mac os requires certain parts to function but I am NOT familiar with Macintosh osl
@vaas44 well I was told by multiple computer techs that " AMD is for gaming, and Intel is for movie, picture, and song editing... I would like to know an honest suggestion wrt AMD and Intel processors.
I have a Pentium D and have never worked on an AMD machine before. Ignoring the cost factor, which would be the best advisable configuration for HD graphics, gaming & daily office use?
Honestly, which one is better - AMD Phenom II x6 1055T or Intel Core i7 980X extreme edition?
Also, any operating system (present or future) which fully utilizes all the cores.
What sucks is that there are only two amd boards with sli function and they both suck. So it looks like I am forced to use Intel boards which have crossfire and sli.
I am not that deep into cpu stuff that I would be able to use the guides to make the crossfire-only-boards accept sli cards.
iam just building a amd not for the great cpu but just support them i use always have intel cpu. But well for the fun it cost low and the gaming on a amd its the same perhaps some times even faster depend on the ati card i use.
People say the 980x is the best and the 1090T doesn't beat it blablabla...
But 1090T is bad? No! It runs games very well, heavy tasks very well and it is a better cost x performance than 980x right? 980x is 3 x more expensive and I think it consumes more energy. Why buy 980x if 1090T does all? For some cases 980x is necessary, but it isn't owned 1090T, 1090T have its advantages. I am correct?
@MARKO4166 The 980X is also more than 3 times the price of the 1090T. They're not in the same price range so they should not be compared to one another. For the price, the 1090T is okay (compared to similarly priced 900 and 800 series processors). The 980X on the other hand, does seem expensive but definitely worth it: a *lot* of power for every kind of task, excellent at video downsampling (I love mine for that), and phenomenal overclocking potential. AMD are behind but they shouldn't give up.
i3 is good but man it is LGA1166 processor. Intel makes 2 new sockets. LGA1366 (the best Intels) / LGA1166 (i3/i5/i7 8xx...) right? i3is good, but you can buy an Athlon II X4 640 too (it runs on AM2+ / AM3 sockets, supports DDR2 / DDR3, it is colder, more economic etc...) You can buy a Phenom II X3 720 that is a good Price x Performance.
@bobbycat711 lol yes but is it as efficient at 3.4 ghz as his would be? mines running 6 cores at 4.1 GHZ. I have yet to slow it down, i have tried, just cant do it =)
funny thing is my 5year old ASUS A8nSli Delux 939 Athlon 3800 dual core runs crysis at 80% [both cores]on the CPU, (OC`d from 2.0 to 2.7 ) all settings on high,AA at 2%, Res. at 1240X786( a single EVGA 9600 super-clock at 740 MHz stock.) best system for the buck as fare as long term game/ability goes, but I'm still upgrading tomorrow.
below 50c is better because if you go further, it would be harmful for the CPU as if we want to over clock, we have to use liquid coolers to control the temp.
Intel fan boys you are so stupid, all of you (almost) , if Intel remains the sole company on the market we are all fucked we will return 15-20 years ago when they charged 100000000 dollars for a fucking cpu. I know they are the fastest right now but just think what will happened if Amd will disappear out of the market...
@Xextreem Right, no real difference between them gaming wise. If you care about numbers and crunching records, go for Intel. If you want real world performance, go for AMD.
@63Jax dude why you u even thing amd will get disappear , and even if it dose , then no prince will get higher cause intel makes 90% of their cash from selling the mid or lower range cpus's in the whole world , yes dere r gamers who buy i7's but dere r many and many more who just buy i3's , if prices goes high then intel will also come down cause dere'l' be always a new company waiting to become the next amd , and for the record amd fan boys are no just stupid they are assholes also
@shadowville005 hey little baby, watch you fucking language. it is very clearly that you are an intel sectant , and let me tell you again, if AMD goes to hell then even the prices for i3 and i5 will explode because there will be no competition in any segment and they can do whatever they please. and for the moment there isn't any company that can replace amd, so were all fucked if this happens.... be careful what you wish for

im waiting for 8 cpu core AMD PROCESSOR and hope GIGABYTE making a 2 cpu mainboard for pc
pajo500 1 year ago
I think they are skipping 8 cores and giong straight to 12 because I have heard rumors of 12 core CPU';s coming out soon......
upplsuckimcool16 1 year ago
You're a ninny if you drop a grand on a CPU alone for marginal differences.

Great video!!!
Bye!

IsaiahAllen03 1 year ago
@MARKO4166 Perhaps your parents should've invested more in English lessons instead of a 980X then.
Maksimov1337 1 year ago
@MARKO4166 The 980X is also more than 3 times the price of the 1090T. They're not in the same price range so they should not be compared to one another. For the price, the 1090T is okay (compared to similarly priced 900 and 800 series processors). The 980X on the other hand, does seem expensive but definitely worth it: a *lot* of power for every kind of task, excellent at video downsampling (I love mine for that), and phenomenal overclocking potential. AMD are behind but they shouldn't give up.

Hello,
Have you tried to boot the cpu without Bios update ?
Thanks.

65*C full oad at 3.8ghz is cool i mean the safe temp is 62 yeah i know but with a stock cooler
if you low the ghz to 3.20 it will be nicely around 50 to 55*C
if the i7 is with full oad at stock it will be nicely at 70 - 75*c lol
amd the best

i3-530 and HD 5770 good too ?
bitchskiller 1 year ago
@bitchskiller
i3 is good but man it is LGA1166 processor.

One question..... why are you using 32 bits? the CPU has better performance with a 64bit system

hello i have the 1055t and the windows reads the cpu as an AMD processor unknown model...... does it affect the performance of the cpu?

funny thing is my 5year old ASUS A8nSli Delux 939 Athlon 3800 dual core runs crysis at 80% [both cores]on the CPU, (OC`d from 2.0 to 2.7 ) all settings on high,AA at 2%, Res. at 1240X786( a single EVGA 9600 super-clock at 740 MHz stock.) best system for the buck as fare as long term game/ability goes, but I'm still upgrading tomorrow.

what are the safe cpu temps ?
kicedz12 1 year ago
@kicedz12
below 50c is better because if you go further, it would be harmful for the CPU as if we want to over clock, we have to use liquid coolers to control the temp.

rofl chipset series 700 .... if you want optimal performance u need chipset series 800
and u need some watercooling because u use the standard fan thats not a good cooling solution

My i7 920 calculated Pi to 1M in 13 seconds, only 4 cores and a significantly lower clock speed.

63Jax 1 year ago 70
@63Jax Like you say buy amd buy intel i use both of them. Amd gaming rig. And intel work rig no hard feelings.
Xextreem 1 year ago
@Xextreem Right, no real difference between them gaming wise. If you care about numbers and crunching records, go for Intel. If you want real world performance, go for AMD.
hosrom 1 year ago
@63Jax dude why you u even thing amd will get disappear , and even if it dose , then no prince will get higher cause intel makes 90% of their cash from selling the mid or lower range cpus's in the whole world , yes dere r gamers who buy i7's but dere r many and many more who just buy i3's , if prices goes high then intel will also come down cause dere'l' be always a new company waiting to become the next amd , and for the record amd fan boys are no just stupid they are assholes also
shadowville005 1 year ago
@shadowville005 hey little baby, watch you fucking language. it is very clearly that you are an intel sectant , and let me tell you again, if AMD goes to hell then even the prices for i3 and i5 will explode because there will be no competition in any segment and they can do whatever they please. and for the moment there isn't any company that can replace amd, so were all fucked if this happens.... be careful what you wish for
63Jax 1 year ago
@63Jax hah yes ur all fucked when amd goes to hell , but am not cause i have an i7
