  • GRACE!!!!!

  • Mega Classic, one of the sexiest rock songs i ever heard

  • Oh, Swedish text.. Perfect for me! :D

  • born 1988, I really really do wish I was alive in the 60s. Just to have been a part of the culture, deep in it, just would've been something else.

  • I know the band didn't exist in 1969 but imagine Queen with Freddie Mercury playing at Woodstock XD

  • i would give 30 years of my life for just 1 day in Woodstock.

  • @davaipo100gram you would probably learn more from 1 day in woodsock than in 30 years in modern times

  • Amazing performance.

  • 1:02 sean wiliam scott???

  • It's amazing how wasted the audience and musicians were at WS. Santana was peaking of mescaline during his set. Wheeee!!!

  • @oreokookie1000 The eyes being at half mast is probably more to do with the DRUGS dude !! This was the `60s mate !Woodstock !! Peace Ye`All !!

  • I remember people coming home from Vietnam, and playing Airplane records, and I remember Cronkite, "Heavy fighting in the Ashau Valley, 58 GI's killed, and always at least 3x Vietnamese, and NVA.

  • @james747300 Yes sir: Cronkite was my boy!! Did you know I heard from several places that Walter thought that a coup d'etat was on the verge of happening? Thats scary! I personally wished that the "woodstock nation" would have taken over....fancy that.

  • Im born in the wrong decade... sigh...

  • they were so tired

  • Charles Manson on vocals as well??? Haha

  • just before i listened to the essential album, you can really hear the crowd in that version of this recording... amazing..... amazing!

  • awesome song :D

  • hot woman!

  • it supposed to be a lomger video isn't?

  • okay so why so many dislikes? You either know this group is or not. Where they expecting to find an actual airplane or something? What performance.

  • Things like this just make me smile. Hopefully this world today can live in more "peaceful" times... and soon...

  • =) <3

  • Damn...live performances of these great bands from 60s, 70s,80s were all so awesome...

Good music stopped as the year 1992 passed by...

  • i know that's off topic ... but grace slick REALLY looks like cuddy from house m.d in this one

  • I love the first 30 secs. Just a messy groove and rythym. brilliant

  • This video doses my ears with acid!

  • THE freekin Coolest band of all time

  • Casady is just mind-blowing on bass; driven, tight and fluid all at he same time - it doesn't seem possible but he hooks it all up in a stunning performance. Never heard better.

  • Haha. Great time for music. Wild time to be a youngster

  • hope real rock never die <3

  • @fanana123 Even if we are conquered by the aliens, the music will conquer them.

  • i'm born in ussr in 85th. it's worst more of all other)

  • Fantastic. Born 1948. Heard all of it.

  • @pbgoodwin1 You owned us.

  • how bands should be playing their own instruments and actually singing, unlike today plastic, manufactured pop cowell and his like have a lot to answer for...

  • Grace Slick is AMAZING.

  • this is just heaven on earth!

  • they are SOOOOOO high while singing this

  • There's still good music around guys and gals, ya just gotta look deeper. * <--- hint at one of them*

  • Amavo alla follia questa donna!!! GRANDE GRACE TI AMO ANCORA!!!!!!!

  • i can,t believe that she was going to try to get Nixon high at the time by putting LSD in his tea

  • haha i was there...if i can remember

  • Quando la musica diceva qualcosa...fantastic!!!

  • Grace Slick >>>>> Janis Joplin

  • @SuperStrik9 Grace Slick couldn't carry Janis Joplin's stash bag.

  • @mitchberg Just an opinion. I have mine you have yours. I prefer Grace's voice to Janis's.

  • @SuperStrik9 i agree grace had a clear sharp voice with range--Janice was raspy and hard and her range was questionable at best--janices voice was like out of a bottle---graces was out of the morning mist

  • @chabeworks Great description!

  • sorry but she massacred her own song here, the original, recorded song is amazing tho

  • I attended the 40th aniversary of Woodstock up in Bethel NY. It was awesome

  • Grace Slick is my hero

  • my dreamwoman

  • remarkably beautiful

  • I love you Grace !

  • WHY THE FUCK I WAS BORN IN 1986???

  • @goliath86goliath At least 10 years before me... :(

  • @goliath86goliath Be happy. I was born in 1996, it's worst.

  • @MrJohnnyblaze07 same here

  • @MrJohnnyblaze07 Ah brother condolences...You didn't even get to experience alternative 90s rock which was at least better than what is out today!!!! Nevertheless, you can always enjoy music from the past--it's the spirit that truly counts; and I'm sure rock legends from back then would totally agree on that fact.

  • @MrJohnnyblaze07 Yea I was born in 87 and I was too young to even understand the 90's music. Now I'm like damn my mom got to live this shit. My dad lived the 50's you know Frank Sinatra and like that so I listen to 40's to 90's music.

  • @MrJohnnyblaze07 i was in 1998, it's the worst of all.

  • @lucas07700 you are wrong me friend, you are young and you will have great life

  • @LoveIsrael89 cheers to that!

  • @MrJohnnyblaze07 me too

  • Comment removed

  • @MrJohnnyblaze07 better than being on 2000's (I was born in 1994)

  • @goliath86goliath

Lol. Don't feel bad. Being born in '69 was worse. I was 6 months old and didn't know it was happening.

  • @goliath86goliath

    I was born in 1981 :-( and it's not better :-(

  • Charles Manson's rockin with his tamborine

  • Yeah, she even tried to spike president Nixon's tea with LSD. Gotta love Grace Slick.

  • God i will give anything to have a woman like her.

  • @uprivershadow for future reference,grace is a muffdiver

  • @hmsrvcs4 Awh. Buzzkill :p

  • @hmsrvcs4 Awh. Buzzkill :p

  • @hmsrvcs4 after all the chorizo she had- she just figured maybe she should try a diet of fish- nothing wrong with that-

  • FABULOUS VOICE!

  • Always has to be 36 idiots somewhere.

  • She is a good looking broad.

  • I thought this was a great performance no matter what they say about their state of mind. Tried to get into one of their concerts but there was a riot and it ended 'prematurely' ... standard for the time. Too bad Spencer is gone ... really loved his style on those skins.

  • LET the good times rool!

  • I love them but what a sloppy mess their jams were.

  • cool song

  • WE COULD'VE DONE WITH A WAKE UP CALL LIKE THAT AT THE SECRET GARDEN PARTY

  • They were meant to play at 8pm but only got to play at 6am the following morning! Doing drugs all night its a miracle they had the energy to stand up, let alone perform here. Sadly an old grace has become super pessimistic and negative and moans about that era in her old age. Shame she's ended up like a bitter old spider when her voice and beliefs helped to inspire a whole generation to rebel at the bullshit

  • morning people!

  • "It's The New Dawn" - Grace Slick (Jefferson Airplane lead singer)

  • Could you imagine playing before more than 300,000 + !!!! (the other thousands of fans might not have heard it correctly). I wish I could have been there, but I was born on 13/8/69 near the Canadian/WA state border, therefore, I would have only been 3 days old. Wow...

  • it's funny how she trys to pump up the crowd, but its like 3 or 4 in the morning, the entire crowd hasnt slept n r still tripping from the night b4

  • I would like the names and addresses of the 36 dislikes on this page as Im going to write to them all individually and recommend my friend Donald Figgins to them, he is a psychiatrist.

  • Actually, all the time slots were screwed up because of technical difficulties and overall disorganization. Airplane were to close the 2nd night and Hendrix the 3rd, but they were so behind schedule, JA didn't hit the stage until 7am on the 3rd day and Hendrix couldn't go on until the day AFTER the festival was supposed to be over. It was a mess.

  • So toasted all of them.

  • 8/15-8/18-1969..HAPPY 42nd ANNIVERSARY WOODSTOCK...PEACE

  • @skeatesy1 fuck you and god. he wasn't attending woodstock he's too violent

  • they were a special breed to take the most powerful mind drugs on earth and still get on stage in front out hundreds od thousands and still sound good.

the past 15 years has brought forth nothing but freaks who have the music skills of a special needs student who is very sensitive about criticism who use tons on public reations firms to hide the fact that they have no skill other than to make nursery school rhymes.

  • negro jimi hendrix was given the last time slot to get attention for him but 75% of the crowd left by then. . JA was put on in the morning because if weirdo richie havens was not given a good time slot that would be racism

  • I loved the song but was only 16 at the time...had I been 18 I might had snook off to Woodstock in my Subaru 360...NOT No rebelling against my parents...lol

  • Far out.

  • Cartman wouldnt like that place

  • @Broerbroer Well, then fuck Cartman.

  • 1.39 = those sideburns would give small children nightmares :)

  • She was so beautiful

  • damn long time ago-love it C=

  • damn, any bboys catch that drummer break from 1:48 to 2:36? amazing to hear the roots of hip hop even as far back as this

  • thats what real music is. cant get any better imo

  • Damn i need some pot

  • what a voice. a real improviser. pure soul. like a bell.

  • off her face and GORGEOUS

  • just like Vietnam !!!

  • I would love morning sex with her...back in '69 of course.

  • WHAT A WOMAN! :O

  • Grace looked hot!!!!

  • @Thehandsomestranger1 You may have been brave and proud but you were also used and abused by a lying and pathetic government similar to the one that sent your youth to kill and be killed in Iraq for no reason at all.

  • 36 people have nobody to love :)

  • when i typed in woodstock in the search box i clicked this video and once they started playing their instroments i just knew this song would be AWESOME and it is!

    PEACE.

  • Gracie said most of the audience was still asleep they had started so early......LOL.

  • @Thejbirdy a bet they woke up quickly!!

  • @glovemonkey I think you're right....they were probably asleep.....at first! LOL.
