Oh goodness! Two things I love: Tess of the d'Urbervilles and Final Fantasy (the music is from Final Fantasy XII)! I am so glad I picked this book to read as my independent novel in my AP English class. Thank you for this wonderful video!
After having cherished the Nastassja Kinski version for almost 30 years, I guessed I could never fall in love with another Tess. How wrong I was. I suspect that not even Gemma Arterton herself is not fully aware of the quality that she delivered here, and which is brought to the surface by the cinematographer. And by the way, I love Eddie Redmayne's performance too. Now I have two versions to cherish, and that's in the end better than one!
