It's not wide, it's the smallest that is ergonomically possible for a comfortable size keyboard.

It has double the amount of USB ports as the MB Air.

The "HDMI" is a proprietary port for VGA and LAN, it's to small to fit those ports on the PC but instead of getting rid of them completely Sony have given you the option of using them when you need them.

This isn't for Video Editing, you should already have a desktop at home for serius power, this should be your ultraportability option.

I disagree some things. If Sony put mousepad instead so called "button", this notebook will be a lot wider. I think everyone will get used to it. My opinion GREAT notebook :)

Mini 10 a good normal netbook with tv capatiblity ment to attract the normal crowd. MacBook imho are for student who dorm or apartment and need a non desktop computer with them.

Imho get a vaio p if you mod/need access anywhere you go and etc.

Dell Mini if your goona just use it at school and nothing else.

Macbook if your a full fledge student.
