He's the best Irish player of the decade, maybe even the best in the northern hemisphere during that time. But I don't think he's the world's best player of the decade - that would go to either Victor Matfield or Richie McCaw
@Tehui1974 How are you comparing them tho? They're all influential - Matfield will keep possesion in line outs - McCaw will win Possession in the Rucks - both very influential area's - But BOD stands out for loads of reasons. He is on par with McCaw in terms of captian status - hes a try scoring machine, no one comes close to his agility-most centres try to bash through like Fourie. He drops goals, wins posession at break downs, he tackles like a savage, and most of all can do something special
I'm a Munster fan, and like all Munster fans I'm a huge fan of Dougie Howlett - he's a credit to his country and the game. Here BOD beats him and De Villiers (and Earls) all ends up, but of course BOD is no good really! I have a sneaking suspicion that because BOD did not have the good luck to born in the Southern Hemisphere, he will never get the recognition he deserves...

Best centre? Jean, Franscois Steyn, Nonu, Toeava are all better. I agree that O'Driscoll is the best 13 of the modern era, but he is not even remotely at the peak of his powers. Hasn't been for many years. His threat at test level has been reduced to a link role, which he does very well.
Nah mate, i'll put my hands up and agree with you if there ever comes a season where O'Drsicoll loses it, but the fact is any international team would gladly start him. Even if you don't agree, the most experienced men of this sport do.
@rakeking - Wasn't D'Arcy the player of the tournament in the 6 Nations twice? As in, ahead of all the other international players from England, France, Wales, Ireland, Scotland and Italy?
No he wasnt! Once he was though. Im not sure it thats a refection of the lack of quality in the northern hemisphere the last few years. Best player incl. Scotland, England & Italy? wow lol
The Irish team for the Autumn Internationals could be different to what people would think with Cian Healy, Sexton, Horgan, Cullen, Darcy all putting their hands up! Munster need to respond and fast....
I absolutely agree with Healy and Sexton, they're the future, Cullen's playing well but Ireland have one of the best lineouts in the World because O'Connell and O'Callaghan know each other inside and out. As well as Horgan is playing Tommy Bowe is playing a lot better, and D'Arcy is was always going to start regardless of this game.
i loved the way he tilted his legs away frow the tackle!!!
he ran over earls and he got past howleit in the end of it all.
he is so strong and agile its unreal and he showed a lot of speed getting to the line
Aido21 i dont know wat ur sayin BOD IS NO. 1 !!!!!!!!!!

Yeah Bowe is still top of the pecking order on the right wing....O'Callaghan will be hard to shift but he'll be looking over his should for sure!
