19/20 years ago, Prong was involved in a tour bus accident that could've very well killed the entire band. Tommy recounts them continuing the tour with his mangled left hand soaking the strings with blood over the next few shows. Talk about doing it for the fans. You don't normally hear about that kind of dedication nowadays.

Power Of The Damager is a damn good record but the production is lacking imo. it sounds like Cleansing on a budget. an incredibly low budget. i understand the band no longer have the backing of a strong label anymore, but the album was lacking in the sound department imo.

overall though it was a step in the right direction and i can't wait to hear the next one.

Met Tommy Victor once...my buddy gave him a ride home from 1st Ave in Mpls. after a show days before Prong played with Pantera so he got us backstage after the show and was COOL AS HELL! Backstage I drank off Dimebag's Special Ex and talked music (he said his favorite band was King's X). Sang Misfits songs with Phil Anselmo while we were both drunk as hell! All of Prongs albums are top quality. For all those who do not have the albums do Prong a favor and go out and buy them. You will be happy that you did. I have listened to Prong from the beginning and still listen to them to this day regularly. They helped me with really getting down and ripping on some great rhythm guitar. Not to mention they helped me perfect my howls and pinch harmonics. These guys are the best. There is no question in my mind.

Prong were hardcore then thrash long before they ever played Industrial. Although I'm a hardcore/thrash fan I do think Cleansing is one awesome album. Back in 1990 I went to see them in Dublin, Ireland and shouted "Lost in a crowd" into the mic as I ran past Tommy Victor during Lost and Found then jumped into the crowd. He beckoned me back up onto the stage and let me sing part of the song in Mike Kirkland's mic before kicking me in the ass back into the crowd

I've had Cleansing for years and always loved it - always in the pit when their shit came on at rocknights. Then got back into them when they got signed to 13th Planet by the Almighty (and really should be King of all Earthshire!) Alien from Ministry and bought POTD. Seeming how HBB didn't start until 3 am (it was the 3rd video played), I doubt anyone that likes rock music would have been awake to see it. The POTD video was a refreshing change from the usual emo/screamo videos that HBB plays. Prong are one of the few bands that got airplay on the original show that are still around today recording kick ass music.
