@Axon193 Sonic Advance brings back memories for me too you know and also this game is almost 10 years old it came out in japan on December 20 2001 and it also came out in the usa on February 3 2002 i played it when i was only 10 years old and now i'm 19 years old and also don't insult other people just because something brings back old memories from the time when they were kids or else you won't get any respect so please respect other people so that way they can respect you.

I just love this zone's BG, it's like, the most catchy and heroic sounding in the whole game. I sometimes open up my DS and play this level on the actual game just to hear the music. I don't care if dying against Eggman's boss battle makes me shit bricks, this zone is plain badass.

@somdie666 Never be too fast with Knuckles. some how i didn't hit the gravity switch spot and some how had to fight the boss with reversed gravity, which then makes it impossible to win. best death ever

Holy shit remember how hard the special stage for this level was? When there were rings surrounding the entire perimeter of the tunnel and you had to move in a perfect circle get them? And if you didn't do this perfectly you would hit bombs continuously and lose tons of rings? Crazy.

I guess they were just trying to go for consistency and balance with the act 1/act 2 thing. Though it's not like they needed to, they'd already done crazy things like that in Sonic 2 without any "act 2".

@ReimuHakureiShrine actually it's more of university . How? It's this really upbeat music that gives quite an advanced and futuristic feel (this is kinda how I imagined university back then ). The tune also gives you rewarding feeling for having made it through almost the whole game especially the egg rocket zone ,those to me are reminiscing of the whole scholarship and the last grade like a takeoff for the real life and reaching a high level.

Have you tried SRA? (Sonic Rush Adventure)? That, along with SA 2 & 3 (Sonic Advance 2 & 3) are the GREATEST next-gen Sonic games EVER! Fuck that console shit, and SRA is VERY long, extremely upbeat, hard, and enjoyable too!

SRA is a great game, but in no way long. I beat the game in a week. Unless you are counting the missions as part of the length.

Of course I mean the missions as well, all 100 of them (well 99 considering you actually have to do something in the other 99; #100 just requires you to complete the other 99). Anyone can run through a game and beat it, but completing EVERYTHING is what makes a game like such LONG.

It's VERY hard, but WAY more ANNOYING! Hazards are everywhere, which means you'll be losing rings a LOT. Trust me, I know. Ironically, I found the boss battle, on the contrary, easy.

Actually, Cosmic angel didn't seem -that- difficult to me... (it's quite tricky, but short) but the boss. Good lord. Takes at least as long as the actual stage and twice as hard.

What I like about the Sonic Advance soundtrack is that they save the GBA's fake trumpet noises for the background, rather than using them in the melody (which is why the Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire soundtrack sounds HORRIBLE). Retro beeps all the way!
