Really though,I've worked on my share of pinto's and all in all they weren't really that bad od a car.With a little care the engine would go well over 200K no problem, and the cars were actually made better than most people would think. For an economy car of the time, they were actually pretty good.A friend of mine had his wagon for years, and last I heard it went over 300 K.
