  • dude, your new show kind of sucks

it was so much better when someone else was writing it

  • i am so disappointed that Richardson supported him... it is the guys club.... sexist.. completely and totally

  • The thing is, if he had supported hillary, people would have said that it was because of the "traditional minority competition between blacks and latinos." Now matter who Richardson had endorsed, he was gonaa get your kind of comments, so he probably honestly just picked the candidate he thought would be the best president. Doesn't mean you have to agree with him, just don't pass it off as sexism just because he didn't pick the candidate you wanted him to pick.

  • But it is sexist. I mean that is the silent monster in this election year, not race... sex! Look at media coverage and how they talk about senator clinton, most the time they call her miss clinton, not granting her the full title. And Richardson should have gone the way his state did, which is to hillary. He has said some not nice things about people who don't follow the vote ! AND THAT IS WHAT HE DID!

  • oh give it up. Hillary has more endorsements than Obama, and STILL losing. also, did you happen to hear why he didn't endorse Hillary? she doesn't care about people, only numbers.

  • sure... Cause obama really cares " Oh it doesn't matter if hillary is 7 points ahead of me nationally as long as i have superior number of delegates" Obama has never cared about the voice of the people, only his own voice. Hillary listens, she reverberates with the voices of America. That is why she cares about numbers, and admits it. Where as Obama just wants power.

  • I don't think Richardson was in any way obligated to go the way his state did, he is a governor, not a pledged delegate, and if you look at the big picture, he DID go with how the people have voted so far. Obama has won more of the vote, by state, delegate, and popular. I think both the candidates care about the people, just have very different styles of finding out what people what and going for the objective. Also, I don't think sex has been a "silent monster",it has been constantly disscussed.

  • well i am basically fed up with the democratic party, cause Clinton would be in the lead if they hadn't disenfranchised millions of people. That is why she is behind.

  • If the party had allowed Michigan and Florida to vote the first time around, then both candidates would have campaigned vigorously in both states, and we really don't know what the outcome would have been.Yes,Clinton had leads in both states, but in this race Clinton has started out with a lead in pretty much every northern and western state and the lead has always shrunk as the primary approached and Obama's ground game took its toll. And many times he outright passed her and won it.

  • that is true, but in florida they all got equal representation because they couldn't campaign and she won. So, i think she should get them delegates. And in the mitten state, she should get the delegates that she won and Uncommitted should be seated as uncommitted Delegates. I think that these people need a voice no matter what. And that trend is stopping, she is ahead nationally and ahead in upcoming states, sooo hopefully she will crush him.

  • There is a reason why candidates have to campaign in a state.

If it were ok to simply let results stand without the politician being given the oppurtunity to campaign there, then brand name wins out, and the most well known candidate auto-wins. Clinton, with the biggest brand, would just steamroll almost every state.

She certainly wasn't complaining about Florida and Michigan when she was ahead. Her righteous rhetoric on this is as politically convenient as her support for the Iraq war.

  • well everyone has access to the new channels, they could see the debates. And Obama shouldn't be running... he should finish a term... maybe that might be nice.

  • Wanting Obama to finish a term in the senate is a legitimate concern, I'm cool with that. Though I do think it's a relatively minor factor, other than adding to the 'experience' argument for his opponents.

Back in January when the Fl and Mchgn primaries were held, Hillary Clinton could expect to start significantly ahead in the polls in 90% of the states she went to, including those 2.

And Obama rapidly caught up every time he campaigned. He started 20 points behind in Texas, for eg.

  • i am not saying that obama isn't a good campaigner. Nor is her a completely unviable candidate, but to me he is running as the Anti-Clinton but using so many of her plans... his economic stimulus plan was released after hers and is exactly alike. I don't think it is cool for him to run with basically no voting record and claim better judgement when it comes to "stuff" Like the iraq war. I am actually happy hillary voted for it, i want to know that force will be used when needed, and then it did.

  • Well that's funny. Obama himself said Hillary Clinton amended her economic plan to make it more like his. Where'd u get the info?

Obama wasn't simply opposed to the war. He stated the reasons why America shouldn't go to war, listed out the factors and problems that would arise from an invasion, and every single one of them turned out to be true. His stand in 2002 against the Iraq war while in the middle of a campaign to get re-elected to the state senate showed he knew when not to use force.

  • and iam not saying the war was good... but at the time we were lead to believe that they were a threat... and at that time president bush didn't seem like he had a reason to lie. so yeah... sorry ran out of room

  • No problem, I'll continue my previous one by replying to this one.

Obama said that the USA should not put all their eggs in one basket by appeasing Musharraf due to his actions in government and his conflict with much of the Pakistan people. He also wanted to use force against Al Qaeda targets in Pakistan if their own government could not act. Clinton supported the sabre-rattling approach.

Obama turned out to be right. So he knew when to use force as well.

  • See, but that is a break of international law... Considering that they didn't know this was going on that technically could have been view as a act of aggression. The "rattling" could have worked, cause it isn't like Pakistan doesn't have a sizable military (with the amount of cash W gave them... they have some force). It was Cowboy Diplomacy, and that has to stop( it should have stopped with T.R.) it is an outdate system. Rattling doesn't break any laws and can be affective.

  • True perhaps, but countries with far lower stature than the USA break international law routinely for far less noble purposes.

Now, understand what I meant by rattling. The USA continued to provide aid in all forms to the Pakistan government, despite the fact it was sitting on its ass doing nothing either for the terrorists or for its own people.

It never threatened to cut off or even reduce this aid if the Pakistan government didn't do its share. Naturally, it was resources wasted.

  • Obama was the advocate of the "carrot and stick" approach. Aid if Pakistan does its part against terrorissm and restores democracy, sanctions and bombing terrorist targets on their territory otherwise.

That is what the administration is starting to do *now*, not back then. They took out one of the top Al Qaeda leaders because the Pakistan government was loafing around again. There has of course been no global backlash.

  • but there could have been, that is way to big a risk. And praising W isn't gonna get him much support.

  • Well, if you feel that way, I can still respect it. Some people have more cautious views on the use of force than others.

And yeah, I agree. That's why Obama only mentioned it in passing, referring it more as a circumstance to support his own point on why he was right about Pakistan.

That said, while Bush has been an abysmal failure as a president imo, he did slightly better in interacting with foreign nations in his final couple of years than he did before.

  • I like that you added a candid remark at the end of your reports. My favorite definitely has to be the pink hair from your Glam Rock video.

  • I do like Kotecki house of politics ...

  • International like the World Series.

    Just thought I'd mention that.

  • i've been confused for a couple of days now. Why isn't it playbooktv anymore???

  • Yah man, I have no clue either. I'd also like to know :)

  • yeah what is up with that?

  • Just name it playbook tv. That was perfect. Don't make it worse man.

  • Fight The Power!

  • Okay Richardson. Your endorsement is a little late. It would have been more helpful before Texas, Arizona, California, etc. Why do wait for Pennsylvania, Indiana, North Carolina, and Oregon?

  • My guess is that he's been holding out for Vice President all along. So, he didn't feel Obama had it till after all those states. I actually like the guy. not a lot, but he's alright.

  • Very true. That is a good reason. But I also just realized how important the timing is for the Obama Campaign. I did a Google news search for Obama and most of today's news is on the endorsement not dear old Rev. Wright. Good timing. ;)

  • I see the point that a Richardson endorsement helps Obama with the Hispanic community in the states you mentioned. But, better late than never.
