Is it like an arcade version adapted for ps3 or a neo geo cd adapted for ps3??I got it on Neo Geo cd and the main difference are the god damn loading screens (which i am 99% is not present in this version) and the music.I remember back then when i´d rather face my infinite loading screens and still have the good cd audio, like on kof 97 or kof 96 or even on 94 than playing it on arcade and getting some 16 bit sound...Any clue on audio quality on these new releases on psn?

@Gsvbhwow First, not only sounds were missing in CD releases. Most games have animations cuts and all around cuts to fit the 7 mb ram memory (read it up on the neo forums themselves in case you don't believe me).

And the music is not bad at all, neogeo had an awesome soundchip, definitely not "16" bit sounding,try listening to KOF 96 OST or MS OST, heck don't even mention GAROU MOTW OSt..

yeah, this game is a jewel indeed, but the options are very poor. They could have done easy moves performance options. It's very difficult to pull out supers with the cross and the mini stick. Wonderfull game, a junk in playability. Sorry for my english hehe.

@MotherfuckingBATTERY YouTube is actually the one to blame for that...Neo Geo hardware is incapable of real translucency; instead, it simulates it by flickering each player's shadow alternately. It appears as though only one dude has a shadow because YouTube squeezes the framerate from its native 60 to 30, i.e. making only every other frame visible.

I am confused. How is this game better then the other KoF games for new comers? The newer KoFs have larger rosters and (IMO) better gameplay. Has he played any of the newer KoFs? I don't remember seeing any reviews for them.

Has anyone ever noticed that Street Fighter II rarely takes place on Streets? Docks, baths, construction sites, temples, an airport, etc.? And if King of Fighters is about the King of Fighters, then why does the storyline focus on 3 fighters winning the tournament? There is no King of Fighters! Unless you consider your team to be made of a King, Queen, and Jack. Well, O.K,., you can make your team using King, but King is a female so that's won't work unless that's her name in the title.

Companies would decide on a name because it has a nice ring to it and gives you a gist of what the games about. e.g. Need For Speed would look stupid if it was called "DRIVE IN BIG CITY AWAY FROM POLICE OFFICERS IN CARS 7!"
