I pretty much have the same production set up as you. But when i am working on a song and i am using about 30 different tracks in my session, logic wont let me create any more tracks, it keeps saying memory full (or something like that). Is it the memory on my computer or is it my RAM memory. Please get back to me. Cheers.
would you recommend the yamaha msr400 over the mackie srm450? what lead you to buy the yamahas? price? do you use your yamaha msr400s outside of your studio?
@ajchoi over the srm 450 i don't know.. For me, the msr 400 are the srm 450 of Yamaha.. The price is a little bit under the srm 450 but the sound quality is not really different.
i bought the yamaha not for the price but because it's Yamaha ! and i never had problem with this mark.
Yes i use my msr 400 during little party with 50-100 people max.
@Dusp2k i translate nothing. The vxt are connected on my sound card and the two MSR 400 on the DJM 800 .

Since your monitorposition is a bit odd, how well do your mixes translate to other systems? I like the vxt's

great set up man
how do you like the vxt6s? im thinking of getting them. I'm undecided between the vxt 8 and the 6..... Is there enough low end in the 6's for edm?
Thanks
wootz69 5 months ago
@wootz69 the low are good for vxt6, i didn't test the 8 because there are so "big" for my little studio and i haven't a good wall insulation.
So, if your studio is not very big, takes 6 if it is large enough and well aligned and isolated, take the 8.

Get primacoustic pads for under your monitors. Seriously $200 of these stupid pads make a huge difference.

@RoboticusMusic so expansive for this "pads"
i'm not sure about the difference without :x
DjFabStellar 1 year ago
@DjFabStellar Find some thick books of equal size and put them under. you'll hear why. It sounds stupid but your desk really fucks up the low end.

@RoboticusMusic okay i will try this, i'm not an acoustic expert :/
DjFabStellar 1 year ago
@RoboticusMusic I tried to make some books and you right ! Good difference, thanks for the tips ;)

@DjMattDowney what is your mac ? a mac book air, mac book, mac book pro or imac ? try to modify your Buffer, on the logic preference.
