went to movies with pal when fifteen i asked what we were going to see as i could not get in to certain films as my age stoped it the movie was amazing purchased the album next day been listen to it on and off for long time but muddy gave a five star performance yours the vinyl
SHOW STEALER~{TALK ABOUT PUT EVERYONE INTO THE SHADOWS?}...THE GIG EXPERIENCED A JOLT WHEN HE GOT GOING~& THE REST SEEMED LAME...I PITY THE GEEZER THAT HAD TO FOLLOW THIS...MY DAD WAS RIGHT~YOU CAN'T SEND A BOY TO DO A MAN'S JOB.
All the cameramen went on break during this performance, Marty Scorsese panicked and thought he wouldnt catch this piece of history. So glad one cameraman stayed behind. Now thats a miracle if I ever did see one. Okay I'm done..Just love this DVD!!!!
The original recording had Junior Wells on Harmonica; many people thought it was still Little Walter on Harp, but Little Walter was there for the recording of Hoochie Coochie man. Paul Butterfield fills the shoes of those legends well here. Then again Butterfield is a legend himself.
Muddy with The Band but this isn't the version from "The Last Waltz". Classic chicago blues. Who was first with this rhythm: Bo Diddley's "I'm A Man" or this song?
@dakarlion1 Hoochie Coochie Man By Muddy Water's was the first to use this riff in 54', followed by Bo'Diddley's I'm a Man in 55'. Muddy Waters then returned to the studio to produce an answer record to Bo'Diddley's version and Mannish Boy was created. Both released in 55' though.
this is ridiculously good
