  • They want eye contact? Give 'em eye contact!

    Stare at 'em!

First, it'll hack 'em off. Second, they'll want you to go back to avoiding eye contact!

  • to further help these people with aspergers syndrome.......RENAME THE SYNDROME.

  • our six year old son was just diagnosed last year with asperger's syndrome, he is considered "high functioning" with certain autistic tendencies. i can honestly say that after reading john elder's book i've seen so much of my son in his stories and has helped me better understand him in some way. i agree with mctrlsys, eye contact is a tricky thing. even as a "normal" adult there are things that make us uncomfortable and therefore we avoid eye contact.

  • ok, no offense, i've been diagnosed with Asperger's too...whether or not that diagnoses is accurate is another matter, however...

  • Yeah, it is kinda the new hip diagnosis... ;P At what age were you diagnosed?

  • not sure, i think it was at least five years ago

  • Trust me. I am an Aspie and despite the fact that I am considered high-functioning, eye contact is always a tricky thing.

  • hate to say it, but i noticed he doesn't make much eye contact in this interview lol

  • What is your point? Why are you commenting on this when you haven't figured out why the book is so titled?

  • and what is so lol?
