Yes, they help for anything where you are on a hard smooth surface that is slippery. The "treads" aren't needed because the urethane Bones uses for these is very sticky, and will not flat spot. The fact that they have no tread also means that the wheel will ride the same for as long as you ride them, rather than one way with the treads when you buy them, and then some other way 2 weeks later when you have worn the tread off. When they first came out years ago I think they were rated at 103a durometer (which I believe is the hardest wheel you can get?). I used them exclusively for vert ramps, and didn't need them in a park until I visited Denver. They are worth the money, and if you like speed, buy their Swiss bearings too, you'll save some energy not kicking and pumping as much.
do these wheels slide for legdes and stuff tailslides nose slides etc beucase i want wheels that grip and slide

do bones spf really help here? cause i got some for christmas and the way the dont have treads seems like they would make it more slippery
