Jack's fucking sucks. There's nothing good about it. That's why it's localized to Birmingham, Alabama because no one there has any goddamn taste. Fuck you Jack Caddell. You dead piece of shit.
@bluejaysj There's one a few miles away on the same hwy now so expect the service to change. With fast food in rural areas nearby competition can have huge effects, especially during peak business hours.
Saw HBOs special on Alzheimers. I had never heard of Cousin Cliff but it was obvious he made a lot of ppl happy..His wife should be commended for letting HBO share her last month with Cliff during that very difficult time...
This show is up on YouTube. Search for "memory loss tapes hbo". His segment starts around 1:03:00 and isn't easy to watch. Cousin Cliff meant a lot to those of us who grew up with him. What a role model and inspiration he was.
Well, he is not doing too well right now. He has Alzheimer's disease and he is not doing too good right now. However, if you ask him about his Cousin Cliff days, he will go one for weeks! Please keep him in your prayers. Things aren't too good with his health now and he and his wife need many blessings.
how is cousin cliff's son? Is he still a chef and doing Tiny Tim impersonations? What a great guy as well. He knows how to blow glass pipe into beauty without leaving the crack. He is wonderful and addicted to his artwork!
Unfortunately, his son passed away last year in a bad car wreck. It has been so hard on him and the family. However, Cliff and Anne do talk about him a lot. They miss him very much.
I am sorry to hear that. Did not know him that well, but he seemed like a funny guy. He had a good friend named Becky whom I knew. I will pray for that family.
Ummmmmm, no. Jack's was named after the first name of its founder, Jack Caddell.
Caddell is long gone from the picture, but Jack's still exists in the B'ham area. I'm with tattoodtruckr - fries and tea are worth the trip, but their Big Bacon is my weakness.
larryyounggir, That is cool. I can image that is the topic of conversation for any 45-55 something friends you have over for cookouts. CC was absolutely a celebrity back in the day. He's got to be in his mid 70's or 80's. I hope he's well.
Jacks is one of my top ten favorite eat outs. Sadly, they are confined to north Alabama.

There was never a Jack in the Box in the Birmingham, Alabama area.

Not unless somebody was operating one out of their guest room somewhere in East Lake or over in Ensley. Hey, anything's possible.
