Pound for pound does not mean the best fighter. It is just a way of eliminating the factor of weight class and assessing a fighter for the skills. So, every person on the planet can be ranked pound for pound. It's not that hard, really.

BTW, Jose Aldo was higher in pound for pound rankings than Junior Dos Santos. Not sure about now, but I doubt even then, 145lbs Aldo could take on 245lbs Dos Santos. So, think about it before you insult people.

I also read articles in Sherdog and their pound for pound rankings as of october 2011 go as follows: 1Anderson Silva, 2 GSP, 3 Jon Jones, 4 Frankie Edgar, 5 Jose Aldo, 6 John Fitch, 7 Dominick Cruz, 8 Gilbert Melendez, 9 Mauricio Rua, 10 Jake Shields. Things have changed since then, but would you like to explain how Dominic Cruz is above Shogun?
