@DreatheGray I know what you mean. I can see why it wasn't a success, but I still kind of like it. It's an interesting premise, just not different enough to stand out on its own merit. It was too like The Punisher and other vigilante type shows.
Adrian clearly stood out here and it was obvious he was destined for better things. I'd like to think this prepared him slightly for his Highlander role later.
@DreatheGray I saw this movie as a kid too (about, say 13 years ago?) and I always remembered THIS VERY SCENE. Think I'll watch it again. Reminds me of the Crow (series)
@de7con I don't think you're right at all. The Owl isn't a supernatural character, he's more a superhero avenger in the same vein as The Punisher, The Phantom and The Shadow.
I recommend reading the novels that the show was based on. They are great! No, the film has yet to be released onto dvd. I have grave doubts whether it ever will as the Director washed his hands of it after it aired. That's why it is credited to "Alan Smithee" ; in the trade a pseudonym used when a person wants to stay unnamed.
I heard Adrian Paul hasn't got much to say on the matter. Is this true?

This movie was great, some of the cheesy scene's worked pretty well I thought.
The bit where the black guy does the macho man thing made me laugh. You don't get that in films nowadays much.

I watched this movie as very young and I nearly cried when I found it on imdb. :D
I know it`s not the greatest ever, but some scenes just stuck with me 4 years and years. :))
