  • @RDPproject it could be a hard-wired behavior that existed long before humans were human. Every once in a while, these traits pop up. It may have been a way for our ancestors to avoid toxic animals. If his fear is enhanced by the bright colors of a poison-arrow frog, then it's a given. Kinda like animals that are terrified of the color red. Scientists think the myclonic jerk is a behavior that stopped our early ancestors from falling out of trees. Now its vestigial.
