Well I found your song (glad I did, really) while searching for some Temple Of The Dog covers, so I thought this is a cover :) Don't get me wrong here, but I think that you have a very similar songwriting style to Chris Cornell, who is my favorite musician of all time :) Your song kinda resembles to Chris's song "Seasons", but still it's unique in it's own cool way.

Hmmm... This is a very enigmatic piece, Mary. It seems a very personal realization, nevertheless wrapped in such poetic imagery. Sonically, it felt folk inspired, yet bluesy and a bit acid. Kind of like Joni Mitchell meets Grace Slick! Again with the vise grip bar chords. I bet you can break bones in a handshake! Altogether cool, eerie, and evocative.
