A drill to help flatten your angle into the ball and create less backspin is to have a friend hold an alignment rod over the ball about a foot above it pointing at a target, make an attempt to hit the ball and after doing this for a while you should notice the you are approaching the ball less with less descent and more on the upswing from the inside
good solid strike, your takeaway needs work, if you could work on that your swing would be very solid, first, bring your shoulders and arms back together so you do not make a handsy inside takeaway, do not start hinging until the club is parallel on your takeaway. You can also keep your right elbow in more creating a flatter swing and reducing the pull, remmber to point your left shoulder towards the ball and get it under your chin by the top of your backswing.

I bet you just practice your finish... You watch it, think "oh that looks pretty good", but then if you look at yourself thru impact, you completely lose your spine angle, mainly because you set up too close to the ball. The hinge occurs naturally just before parallel & need to in order to keep the L shape, this makes the club at the top never go past the target line, it creates lots of width & inhibits a natural unwinding transition so you never create the speed from the top,but rather when the L shape of your arms reaches parallel again,you unhinge,rotate your arms for clubhead speed through the shot htting into a solid left side & clear that left side out the way

all these comments shouldn't bother you. if i were to give you real advice i'd say watch how you bring the club back, it comes a little too far inside. and secondly, from the top you should start your downswing with your legs because if you don't, you'll start it with more of a shoulder turn which will make you feel like and hit shots like you're coming over the top.
Your swing isn't very good honestly. Your follow through is good but the rest is garbage. You whip the club inside right away and then make an over the top move on the way down. I bet when you play any course other than your home course you struggle. I am sure you hit the ball well some times but I also bet you are an inconsistent player and struggle with a fade. Focus on taking the club strait back. This is what is meant by "keeping the club in front of you and not getting stuck."

Great swing. Unless you are trying a fade, your downswing is a little off plane. The shaft should be inline with your right arm (from this view) before impact and not in between your arms. In other words your downswing is more upright than your takeaway.

lol...he said 5 IRON from 265, not 5 WOOD. Huge difference. Given normal wind/elevation conditions, there isn't anyone on Earth hitting 5iron from 265. 5 wood 265 is definitely possible for a lot of golfers.

Your swing is just fine. I like your tempo and I can tell you have worked hard at it. Just remember golf is a game you can never master so ignore all negative quotes here.
try a one piece takeaway to the mid point & then just turn and lift club keeping hand/shaft angle ( feels weird with driver/fairway ). Then think about using your body a little bit more for weight transfer/downswing start rather than timing arms. Wait until your chest center has moved past belt buckle/middle of address stance before turning on the juice. Otherwise way above the average out there - keep going. Looks like u r still growing so u will be great if u keep this up. time for gym too.

I bet when you play any course other than your home course you struggle. I am sure you hit the ball well some times but I also bet you are an inconsistent player and struggle with a fade. Focus on taking the club strait back. This is what is meant by "keeping the club in front of you and not getting stuck."

You lose your spine angle through impact and stand up. This is ok, but you could solve this by standing a little further from the ball and starting your arms on the swing plane...

Great swing. Unless you are trying a fade, your downswing is a little off plane. The shaft should be inline with your right arm (from this view) before impact and not in between your arms. In other words your downswing is more upright than your takeaway.

lol...he said 5 IRON from 265, not 5 WOOD. Huge difference. Given normal wind/elevation conditions, there isn't anyone on Earth hitting 5iron from 265. 5 wood 265 is definitely possible for a lot of golfers.

i doesnt matter what the swing looks like, its if you can get it in the hole the fastest. The shot look good to me. 265 yards for a 5-wood...i dont know maybe a good 3-wood. But ball flight looked good to me. keep it up

bend your right arm at address (ur right arm is never straight until follow through (way after impact). i agree with wownerd. you're too wristy at takeaway and that's why the club shaft gets above the plane.

Your swing is just fine. I like your tempo and I can tell you have worked hard at it. Just remember golf is a game you can never master so ignore all negative quotes here.

** Also ** - STAY AWAY FORM PLASTIC MATS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE !! They mess up your swing and waste valuable practice time with IRONS.
Plus having a dead flat stance is not that great for learning to drive either.

try a one piece takeaway to the mid point & then just turn and lift club keeping hand/shaft angle ( feels weird with driver/fairway ). Then think about using your body a little bit more for weight transfer/downswing start rather than timing arms. Wait until your chest center has moved past belt buckle/middle of address stance before turning on the juice. Otherwise way above the average out there - keep going. Looks like u r still growing so u will be great if u keep this up. time for gym too.
