@sequencerzone Yeah, but I sold the 505 ... In my ears the 626 (which I have now) can do the same (and more) ... but the limits of the 505 are also an advantage ...
hehe geil du hast den 4 pole mit curtis filter seh ich an der 9 volt aufschrift ... habe den filter mit 12 volt der hat den filterchip der im moog voyager drin ist .. aber der curtis klingt glaube dreckiger ;)
What all do you have to do to get the tr 505 to work because i have an old one from my dad and we don't know how to get it to work we think it might be broken thank you please respond
If it doesn't play, maybe the TR-505 is in Midi-Slave-Mode. To change this you must press (and hold? i don't know exactly now) "Shift" + "Midi" and change "Midi Sync" to "Off"
Another possibility is to initialise the 505 again, to do this switch it off and switch it on again while you hold "Mode Play" and "Pattern Group A"-Button.
In all the TR-505 is really not hard to operate. Somewhere in the internet you should find a manual pdf for it.
actually my dad is trying to find the power supply. So we think that might be the problem because we found one for a Yamaha keyboard that supplied the voltage but we are still trying to find the original. thank you
very cool!

@felmoe Jau, hatte schonmal gelesen, dass es da Unterschiede gibt. Ein direkter Vergleich würde mich allerdings mal interessieren.

Hey! Does the display show anything when you switch the 505 on? Do you have the right power supply? If so, after you switched it on,
1. Press "Mode Play" the display should show "Pattern Play".
2. Press the "Pattern Group A" Button until it shows "A" in the display.
3. Press "Start/Stop". Now it should play a preset pattern from bank A (toggle between the preset pattern with the 16 pads)

You don't need a special power supply, the original Roland power supply is a 9 Volt, 1000 mA, DC.
