  • What do you think of the 3 inch barrel for 44 mag? I have a redhawk bobbed off at 3.25 inches and, although it is a boat anchor in weight, I really love that gun. I just hate to give up that much velocity to a shorter barrel. ...by the way, the original grips on your talo are beautiful, throw away those ugly hogues (they are an insult to a beautiful gun).

  • @PowerForGood Threw the grips away over a year ago. I don't believe you lose a significant amount of velocity. Iv'e read some interesting articles on the subject, specifically dealing with the powders utilized for the rounds.

  • toy guns girl hands???? wtf do you shoot man that right there is a mans gun... lets some vids on your (toys).................

    exactly

  • niceeeee

  • Good Video, Beautiful Gun

  • is it possible to pop off all the rounds one handed without shooting the guy standing behind you?

  • @Malc666the1 Sure

  • i found your video while looking for Ruger Redhawk Alaskan 44mag they are verry similar dont you think they come standard withhe a hogue grip i like these scales better you think there interchangeble

  • @Mean2mann Mine came with the wood grips. I bought the hogue grips, which I no longer use.

  • AHAHAHAHa...

WHAT ARE YOU DOİNG WİTH THİS TOY ?

YOUR FUCKİNG HANDS LOOK LİKE TO GİRL HANDS

    YOU CAN'T FİRE...

  • @SUSSTURUCU Disillusioned words like bullets bark

As human gods aim for their mark

Make everything from toy guns that spark

To flesh-colored Christs that glow in the dark

It’s easy to see without looking too far

That not much is really sacred

  • @SUSSTURUCU dude on a loaded weapon does it really fucking matter? Didn't think so.

  • I love the look of those hornady polymer tips in my 44. they look like missiles and that makes me happy in my gentleman vegetables

  • I'm gonna go trade my GP-100 and an auto-loader now. I always knew in my heart I'm a wheel-gun man. Takes videos like this to get to know my 'inner-self'.

Awesome video, great musical accompaniment too. Any suggestions for a different .44 than a S&W or is that blasphemy?

  • @snowbird29803 I love the Ruger Alaskan in 44 and 454. I like them all, but the Smith will always have a home in my safe.

  • I can't help noticing that you shift your grip on the gun almost continuously between shots. A consistent grip is one of the keys to accurate shooting. Is that why you just show the gun firing and not the results on the target? I have a Smith Trail Boss 3" .44 with the unfluted cylinder that shoots very well. It comes stock with Hogue grips with a lanyard attachment, so I found it interesting that you swapped out your Talo stocks for Hogues. Good video, all in focus and no wasted time!

  • @hds181 I shifted my grip a lot because this was my first 44 and one of my first revolvers, I was into semi autos. It was surprisingly accurate the first time I took it out, but video is over a year old and a lot has changed since then. I switched the grips back almost immediately and haven't looked back. If you are a revolver man you might enjoy my top ten handguns for 2011 video. I'm a huge fan of anything that goes bang. All the best.

  • Have had a SW "Lew Horton" edition 3" Mod 29 since late 80's, I have only put approx. 750 rounds through it (200 full loads-240gr .44mags & the rest .44 Special Silvertips & lead semi-wad), it is my favorite EDC revolver and is quite accurate with .44mag ammo but is exceptional with the .44 Sp loads, I know there are a huge amount of premium loads out there mags & spec but for 25 yards or under those older Silver tips will do everything that is required, love this pistol!

  • Is this the Model 629 Deluxe 3in. Barrel Textured Wood Grips?

I've always loved these types of guns and this 1 looks very nice just wondering if it's the same 1 b4 i go and buy it :)

  • @LStarProductionsLTD Yes textured grip. It was referred to as a Talo edition when I bought it. All the best.

  • at 0:09 i noticed your needle is for oral use only

  • It dont get much better than this.

  • Almost a perfect gun; too bad about that little hole over the cylinder release ;)

  • Great VID

  • your 44 mag is orgasmic

  • If you get it MagaNa Ported you will like better! My 4" is a dream!

  • Nice video.

  • cool video

  • AWWWW my 3 loves; .44mag, Smith and Wesson, and The Black Angels. great vid man. I have my 629 4in and i love it.

  • @elibby071214 Thanks. Have a great weekend.

  • Good use of music and visual. I think I prefer at range work shooting my Raging Bull for ease of long term shooting box after box, but I don't use it for carry only range work. I prefer a Glock or LCP for dress. The weight just gets uncomfortable. Nightstand social work this would be fine, but I tend to use what I would carry and practice with the most. I think this short barrel would be in the " it was a gun for fun", category. I bought a Mare's Leg recently from Henry and used it to plink.

  • @tiggerr42431 I carry it once in a while, but for me it was a space that I wanted to fill in my collection, The 44.

  • i liked the wood grip is was purdy

  • @lioncrater Are you referring to the Smith and Wesson Trail Boss that comes in 3 inch? I went to 3 stores and they all had the 3 inch barrels. [ S&W 629 44.] They are definitely legal, and the CA DOJ websites suggest it is okay to sell. I live near the Sacramento area and I saw it at River city gun exchange, and other near by gun stores. I just so happen to pick up the 4 inch instead.

  • really nice grip and magnum

  • Nicely done!

  • this is one well made video. pleasure to watch (and listen). if you got a thing for firearms.

  • @toomanyfires Thank you sir.

  • I think I would never used magnums in the thing and instead use hot loaded .44 specials.

  • GREAT VID, I own the same 629-1 3inch love it ... vid is posted..thanks

  • @lioncrater Beautiful. I thought about getting one myself. Love my 454 Alaskan. I'd suggest leaving the left coast as soon as possible.

  • Tried it one handed yet? I have a .41 magnum that is nasty enough. I don't think I would like a 3 inch .44 at all :-). I love the N frame though. Sexiest revolver ever made IMO.

  • @crchrdsn Yeah man after shooting so much 454 it's nothing...

  • Outstanding video! Exactly what we want to see and none of the bullsh*t :) Kick-ass soundtrack too; I love the Black Angels!

  • beautiful gun my friend. i have the 4 inch 629. looking to get a nice set of grips for mine. i'm considering a pair from eagle grips. want to sell those wooden ones you took off in the vid? LOL love your vids bro!

  • Soo bad ass

  • This is a great video, the best gun video I have seen. Don't you think exposed backstrap, round grip frame revolvers hurt your hand, a lot more than enclosed rectangular ones?

  • @snoozer987 Man they all sting a little with heavy loads, but I guess that's what attracts us to the. All the best.

  • what is the song?

  • @WoebringerofDoom Young Men Dead by The Black Angels

  • Wow, you are gifted. Excellent video! Thanks for sending it to me.

  • @weaponseducation Love my 44.

  • @OilTheGun

How much reliable is this gun ???

  • @Rusofil1804 Never had an issue, so 100%.

  • @OilTheGun

I like revolvers, i think that they are much more better and reliable than any other guns.

  • @MrShadowWang That is cool. I just load it with heavy grain 44s and make them shoot all 6, lol.

  • @MrShadowWang No porting. It's fun to shoot, but managing recoil is all in the shooter. Iv'e nearly pissed myself watching others shoot it, good times.

  • The smith and the song are bad ass

  • @cz97bd Thanks

  • Finally got this BEAST. Took it to the range for one hundred rounds and my hands are numb. Lovin' it. Too bad it is getting service right now. Cylinder wouldn't open. Not what I expect from S&W and this is a brand new revolver....

  • @vant1472 Thats a shame. I hope they get it sorted out for you.

  • @OilTheGun Finally got the beast back after two weeks at the gun shop. Can wait to take it to the range again. Gunsmith said"is locking up because of the fouling".....Gimme a break. I said this is a revolver.

  • Cool music. Who is that singing ?

  • @serekithegreat The Black Angels

  • Beautiful weapon.

  • @serekithegreat Thank you.

  • Great video. Are you shooting magnums in this video? If so you must be a monster to control the recoil so well. I'm a tiny man the size of a woman so the recoil really climbs when shooting the mags. You make the gun look like it has no kick though.

  • @pstick Full Loads. Believe me I felt it, even though I can control it.

  • Nice weapon.

  • @MrM2hb It is a little pricey to shoot, but I'm happy to have it.

  • @OilTheGun I feel you ammo price pain! I have a Lew Horton 629-4 3" 44Mag full lug barrel, full length extractor, unfluted cylinder, Houge rubber grips and I love it. Those wood grips look nice but the rubber will help recoil.

  • @lioncrater Good luck man. As you know the shorter and lighter the more sting.

  • @lioncrater Thanks, pricey ammo, I don't get to shoot it as much as I'd like.

  • Over powered ... how accurate can U be ?

  • @mba2ceo I don't consider the 44mag over powered. If someone is used to shooting a lot of 9mm, they will need practice, but the gun is as accurate as the shooter and it's a lot of fun to shoot.

  • I love those wood grips! So beautiful, but you can't say you've shot a real .357 unless you hand load it back to it's original spec, which is quite a bit hotter than anything you can buy in a store.

  • @OilTheGun I guess I should have directed that comment more to the guy asking which one has more kick. The .44 is more powerful for sure but like I said, few people get to feel a true .357 magnum.

  • could you see yourself concealing this gun?

  • @jessyrules1000 Yes, It's large, but I have a great holster for it, see my holster video.

  • The Black Angels and a .44, nice combo, great video.

  • @VFRSTREETFIGHTER Thanks for watching.

  • Awesome video and awesome gun

  • @xeotech1 Thanks

  • Good song. How's the recoil on a .44 compared to a .357? I'm a big revolver fan (especially for an 18 year old) I plan in a .38s for concealed carry, .357 because it's the first handgun I fired, and a .44 for meat exploding.

  • @Wabaanimkii The 44 makes the 357 feel like a 22. Revolvers are great...

  • Would you like some .44 Magnums on steroids? I have some 240 gr. with 23 gr of bluedot rounds. Don't know if your smith can handle the pressure though.

  • @ProGunTexan Thanks for the offer, but I better not risk it. Sounds like a handful of fun though.

  • @OilTheGun hand cannon stuff.

  • great video this video alone makes me want a revolver and more specifically your revolver lol. 629 Talo 44 mag huh.... guess ill have to get one.. how much did it cost you if you dont mind me asking

  • Great video man! Very Artsy!

  • @FireArmsResQ Thanks you, appreciate you watching.

  • this is gun-porn!

  • @RFNDL666 Easy Tiger, glad you enjoyed it.

  • @Pill88Dickle The Black Angels.

  • Rewatching for the umteenth time.. This vid is awesome bro, and the music get the blood pumpin'..

  • @noBuzzkillin Thank man, appreciate it. I'm just trying to get a little free time to make another video...

  • AWESOME video & music - wow!!!

  • @SheepdogLA Thanks appreciate the feedback.

  • That right there is what you call a MAN'S gun.

  • @gsszuber Yes sir, it's a lot of fun to shoot.

  • nice choice of music

  • @RareX Thank you.

  • How is the recoil, anyone?

  • @zerobinary2 Manageable, but you will certainly know whats up when you drop the hammer.

  • Haha a bonner. Well now that u mention it... hmm maybe I will convince my uncle to get me one in .357

  • @Wabaanimkii Go for it! Hard to beat a Smith.

  • NICE .44 MAN!!!!!!!!!!! GOOD VID!!!!!!!!

  • @taiwanreef Thanks man, It's a Hand Cannon.

  • @taiwanreef Thanks.

  • Great video !

  • @bulldog10mm Thanks for watching.

  • Sweet... Now I want one... Great video!

  • @MyYogiB Thank you.

  • That is a bad ass gun it's beautiful

  • Beautiful Bro....Loved the roid shot at the beginning...lol

  • @razback14 Thanks man, it's a beauty and I'm glad I waited just a little long, so I could afford a Smith.

  • Man i'm getting a bonner just looking at it.

  • @mgiaco52 Easy Tiger...

  • OMFG!! OTG's gun porn is phenomenal!!!

  • @AvalancheDiode Thanks man. It's a beauty.

  • God bless America.

  • @eXdXgXe4life Yes indeed.

  • She's a beauty! Great vid, thanks.

  • @MrGunAddiction Thanks for watching.

  • Beautiful revolver, congratulations on your awesome purchase.

  • @xxFRANKENZTEINxx Thanks I'm enjoying it.

  • I couldn't tell where that thing bit you, but I can see how it could have. That thing kicks like a mule! LOL! Great gun!

  • @thebudgetarmory1 Could tell? or Could see?, lol.

  • sounds like The Doors infuenced the band playing in this vidya

  • @zboyco Man these guys are awesome, from Austin TX, The Black Angels, check em out.

  • Why slap when you can punch? Very nice piece enjoy. I just sold my twin S&W Mod.29, Lew Horton Spl.'s. with a 3in. barrel, blued. I carried them cross draw and I loved them. I just couldn't carry them any more. Good luck with her. Great Vid. brought back some good memories. Thanks

  • @StMichaelsCrew Thanks, I'll enjoy it as long as I can.

  • she's a beauty..the wood grips look real pretty..but I would have done the same thing changed them to the hogue..did she shoot well?

  • @lskw1 i was shocked at how accurate I was, considering it's my first 44mag. I think the gun is very accurate, the shooter just needs some work with this unfamiliar round. Hogue tames the beast considerably. Thanks for comments.

  • I'm sorry but is I think you mislabeled your video and meant to put .38 special in the title just looking at your recoil control on it.. hahah Man with the proper shooting grip and platform you make it look like the recoil is minimal !

  • @mixwell1983 I try, but buyer beware, you know what you are shooting as soon as you pull the trigger, lol.

  • Beautiful !! I agree that the wood grips really set it off but I'm sure the hogues are more shooter friendly.. That is my struggle with my 1911 is my wrap around hogues are nicer for shooting but i keep swapping em back and forth for my wood grips because the wood looks soo much cleaner and "prettier" haha.. I still need to add a good revolver to my collection, thinking about the GP100 since S&W is a little on the high side for my bank account.

  • @mixwell1983 I hear ya, took me a little extra time to get there, but I think it was worth it.

  • Gorgeous gun, but I thought the wood grips looked so much better on it. But it's your gun not mine of course.

  • @xZarthornx I totally agree the wood grips look much better, but hogue grips help tame the beast.

  • beautiful gun.

  • @LiftedShooter Thanks

  • I knew it! I said 629! Awesome ! That's the gun I carry in the mountoonies! Your videos are like art work. You put so much time in to them. It is appreciated! How do you like it? It is fun to shoot isn't it? Great job!!!!

  • @Mr45Bullitt I knew you knew it, it's awesome. Its no Glock. What a tank. It's so much fun to shoot, pricey for ammo though, but it is my hiking gun and I was surprised how accurate I was with it considering it's my first 44. Wait until you see my Colt video, might be a while, but its a beauty.

  • @OilTheGun Colt video??? You are killing me!!!! Can't wait my friend.

  • @Mr45Bullitt I'll give you a clue its a 1911 that Iv e never shown on the tube.

  • Excellent video to match the gun! Very well done! Thumbs way up!

  • @robbie574 Thanks man...

  • THAT IS TRULY A PIECE OF ARTWORK.... I LOVE SMITH AND WESSON... ENJOY!!! THE KICK MUST BE BRUTAL....

  • @aj45colt The kick is acceptable, also surprisingly very accurate. I think I could bring home some bear steak with this little cannon.

  • you make bad ass video's bro.... thanks

  • @TheJmac1983 Thanks, appreciate the feedback

  • damn you OTG now I have to go buy this revolver,

  • @TheIronicBanana I know where you can get one, lol. It's a great revolver.

  • GUNNNNNNNN PORRRRRNNNNN! -is awesome. NIce video OTG

  • @TheIronicBanana Thanks

  • Oh yeah thats lovely

  • @SONOFAHGUN Thanks, really into realtors.

  • I have a model 29 and I shot it a lot when I first got it. But now because of the cost of ammo I don't shoot it very often.

  • @biguy525 I hear that. This thing will only be brought out as the urge requires and I'll be carrying it in the woods, just in case.

  • What A Beauty ! The Wooden grips are awesome like snakeskin :)

  • @krazy45cat Its my only 44 so I had to get a nice one. The grips really set it off, but wanted to protect them and as you know, hougues help tame the beast...

  • Beautiful!

  • @hathcocked Thanks man. It's a fun gun to shoot, pricey ammo, but it's more of collectors gun for me. Hope all is well and have a great weekend. I'm heading to our local gun show tomorrow, no guns though, just a little lusting.

  • @OilTheGun Same to you man, hope you enjoy the show. I haven't been to one in a few months, I'm about do I think.

  • That thing is like a dang sasquatch!

  • @DocTacDad It's for sasquatches...

  • Pure power, good taste in guns my friend.

  • @Vega1047 Thanks, It's a fun gun.

  • Another great video Mr. OTG and my goodness what an f'in beauty that is! Looks like an ALL business machine. Do you prefer the Hogues? Ive grown to have concerns about rubberized grips.

  • @noBuzzkillin I do like them, I don't prefer them, just more practical for shooting and they make it more fun to shoot. Put them on my spurless Sp101, making it a lot more fun with heavier 357 loads.

  • @OilTheGun Understood. I used to run Hogues on my G22, but one incident where I had to hold onto them with nervous sweat on my hands and I lost faith. Slipper when wet. Not good for me. I did really like how they felt though.

  • I really enjoy your video. The music is great and the video quality is cool and creative. Dirty Harry would be proud!
