  • @Unbornfan So Matt Cameron's arms fall off from drumming for like 5 hours or so? I don't think he is up for that.

  • Not sure about new material, if it's not better than anything that's currently out at the moment I wouldn't want them to release it at all. They created a bit of a monster by releasing such good material in the 90's and I wouldn't want to see them releasing something that would suck.

  • @Unbornfan oh god....if thats gonna happen...I WANNA SEE IT B4 I DIE!!!!!!!!!

  • @Unbornfan Nah, Soundgarden/Faith No More for the win!

  • Wow....My life just got a little bit better. A new album from them would be like the Second Coming....but just knowing that they're getting back together-ALL ORIGINAL MEMBERS- is excellent news for the world of Rock...

  • God is good. Time to blow the modern lame asses out of the water.

  • its about time. now when are we getting a new album

  • omg. kill yourself

  • @Unbornfan I dont know who you are but i love you!!!

  • this is awesome

  • I think what really was going through his mind has really changed. Even if they do form together and some of their songs aren't as good as the others, it doesn't necessarily mean that they will suck. Plus if he didn't wanna screw up something that was good he would have quite music before he did scream lol. Funny thing was that scream was nothing like the name of it suggested.

  • A good enough reason to take it back out is a redemption for that pile of steaming dump you called SCREAM Chris!

  • A good enough reason to take it back out is a redemption for that pile of steaming dump you called SCREAM Chris!

  • The trumpets of The Rapture would sound if that happened. And I, too, would shit myself.

  • @bucknut017 #

Unbornfan Tell me this isn't the sickest idea ever. Soundgarden and Pearl Jam do a tour together and then for an encore come on as Temple of the Dog. Fuck I would shit myself. 10 1 month ago

  • I might be alone on this but I didn't want them to re-form. What Chris said was the truth; re-forming would just be messing up Soundgardens legacy. -- And I don't think Chris has the voice for any of their older stuff anymore.

  • @danieljliversLXXXIX find videos of chris cornell from the last 2 years... try finding a recent vid when he sang temple of a dog. His voice is in great form.

  • @danieljliversLXXXIX Have you seen Beyond The Wheel live? I'm waiting to see how long it will last... Actually the last song they played at the Showbox was Pretty Noose and it sounded like he was pretty tired...but hey, wouldn't be after a reunion tour after about 13 years!

  • God I hate all u ppl that use the term "grunge". Fuck me man. That term was created by fucking fashion magazines in the early nineties to describe what was going on around them. Nobody who was actually apart of the scene ever used that shit term. Its just rock n roll man!!!

  • @freshtendrills you're right and wrong. I was in the scene playing gigs all over the west coast, and we were never offended when people called it grunge. Sure it's rock n roll, there's many types. Nirvana sure sounds different from led zep, eh?

  • That's what i've allways thought!

  • Dude, grunge was just rock 'n roll, but it doesn't mean the term shouldn't be used. There was a huge punk influence on the scene, which wasn't even around during the 70's metal craze. It's just a term, man. And guess who originally used it? Bruce Pavit, owner of Sub Pop, and then Mark Arm, lead singer for Mudhoney. Don't get your panties in a knot

  • @freshtendrills Hated the term "alternative" that was also used for SG.

  • I hope it happens... the only thing that may get in the way is matt getting away from pearl jam.. if they do and tour to nz i will be in the front row. fuk yea!!

  • This is great, but Chris's voice is gonna need to shape up for this. Perhaps surgery isn't a bad idea.

  • former grunge musicans unite!

  • GOD!!! they're back :D:D:D:D

  • Best news! Can't wait!

  • Man this is sweet! I was too young to see them when they were together, but now I hopefully will be able to finally see them together.

  • It feels like the 90's are coming back in a way...it seems like everywhere i look something from the 90's is being revived, which is cool since i grew up in that decade.

  • he lost cred when he went to timberland!!!!

  • t'was about time

  • does this mean matt cameron is out of PJ?

  • @elchingoncabron I doubt he will leave PJ

  • Matt is or has always been in both bands and most likely they will do what the seattle 4 has always done is tour together.

  • does anyone know what is the song at the beginning of the video

  • @rockstar6790 It's called "Outshined"

  • The greatest band in back in action.

THey are back and im crying in happiness. TUT

  • @piepie444 I know exactly how you feel!

  • 1:01 chris = freddie mercury?

  • Good news...but he is lucky to have played with the instrumental part of RATM!

  • @icebergbart216

    Lucky?

  • is this real ? are thay getting back together ? or its just bull crap ?

  • Can't wait one of the best bands ever. Audioslave were to hit and miss for me. They were'nt as consistantly as good as Soundgarden were, especially Soundgarden's last 3 albums! If their coming to Ireland I hope its after the 2nd week in June as am doing as post grad course and won't be fin until then.

  • Great News. Great Band. :)

  • Dude's wife needs a cheeseburger.

  • @Barroid Nope I think she looks just fine! Cheeseburgers are the problem now girls are eating way too many and are balloned up like whales. This whole country needs to go on a diet. Look around we are surrounded by cellulite and it looks gross and they (fat people) sound even worse! But that's what the govt. wants- a nation of fat happy cows so they can controll us! I'M NOT HAVING ANY OF IT!

  • genial, buen comienzo para el 2010, los esperamos pronto en Chile

  • Most Excellent :D

  • mmmmmmmmmmm yeah, well if they tour mid 2010 i'll be in Los Angeles at that time so here's hoping they tour then and there, as i doubt they will tour my native melbourne, australia

  • This news rocks!!

  • FUCK YES

  • Coachella!

  • alice in chains soundgarden tour??????

its gonna be a good summer i can already tell

  • Hopefully they will make a new album. New Soundgarden songs are at least 10 years overdue.

  • looking so forward to this!!!!!!

  • oh my god, YES!

  • Bout friggin time!!! Best Seattle band ever, not countin Heart.

  • Yes, yes

  • wow, didn't see this one coming but fuck ya. Can't wait for a new Soundgarden CD.

  • Hell Yea !

  • what about Audioslave...that is what i want to see back together..

  • you must be too young to understand.

  • @Utah911 The trumpets of The Rapture would sound if that happened. And I, too, would shit myself.

  • Fuck Audioslave! Soundgarden are one of the true GODS of Grunge! The Knights of the Soundtable RIDE AGAIN MUTHAFUCKA!!!

  • dont say grunge. they played Metal in their early days, and then they played Alt Rock. Grunge is made up.

cant wait for for them to play

  • I have to agree with you on that cause only 4 bands were really considered grunge and i think in a way they all had diff. sounds. Its just they all got big in the same place at the sametime.

  • I consider AIC to be a good Alt Metal band, and the rest to be good Alt Rock bands. They all sound way different to be classified in such a small subgenre as "grunge".

  • Yeah, I agree with you. All grunge is, is 90s alternative and metal. Just some songs are harder then others.

  • Im happy someone agrees with me, and Im not being attacked by 13 yr old Nirvana fangirls who despise that thought.

  • @Smokie420ish who nirvana, soundgarden, pearl jam, a/c and stp? The smashing pumpkins were kind-of considered grunge too.

  • Only by some. The gurnge meaning the seattle 4 was soundgarden, nirvana, alice in chains and pearl jam

  • Early smashing pumpkins - Gish, Siamese Dream and Pisces Iscariot (although some of the Siamese Dream album was pushing it) was similar to grunge but grunge music is Washington State bands (not just Seattle, as Nirvana for example is not from Seattle). I love grunge music and Smashing Pumpkins are my favourite band but they aren't really grunge.

  • @wsm34 audioslave was great. but i would rather see rage and soundgarden than audioslave any day.

  • God bless that man.
