  • I am glad you boys made it out, but hope you learned from your almost fatal mistake.Oh and one more thing. Keep that damn haligan at the front door and take in a Ferrell hook, so that you can help pull ceiling, and search for extension when initial knockdown is over. Stay safe and NO FREELANCING!

  • Normally I restrict myself to reading comments and not posting but..... I understand fully wanting to get your ass balls deep in some fire, Im a pipeman on a buisy engine that gets roughly 100-150 working structures a year so I understand. But you don't freelance, and this almost got you killed. I know all departments don't opperate the same but there are a few principles that should always be followed so that the lessons learned from fallen brothers are not for nothing.

  • dubya3231 you are right!!! i havent had this happen to me because i was trained right not to freelance. these folks are lucky they werent killed. "Dont be part of the problem, be part of the solution"

  • @USMarine510 your absolutely right, you both freelanced and you nearly got killed, stupid mistakes that make all firefighters look bad. why are you on air when you get out of the truck, thats a waste of critical air, two did you make a plan no, you simply did not get propper training and i swear there are some stupid ass people who join the fire service and you end up not being a help to yourself or anyone else. @ffp152, these guys have got to be amatuers, cause they wont last longer than 10 yrs

  • just going to say they should have shut that line down have fun with steam burns

ur a real cowboy running into that one who are u kurt russell

  • Where was the may day I never Hurd one

  • Comment removed

  • squad 7 man.. dont listen to these goons talking all this shiz. they probably havent had this happen to them so all they can do is quote text book shit. my advice to you is play this video within your department as a training tool so that it doesnt happen again. all these comments from all the firefighters hating on what he did, you should be kicked in the grundle. RFB

  • Where was the may day?

  • SAVE RICK !!!!!! GOD DAMN IT

  • what kind of radios do you use?

  • what camera is this?

  • Totally agree with what that guy said about lunar... Except in our department we say " assignment" instead of air supply.. That way we know what the person was doing when the mayday was called and what tools he had with him or will need... If a RIT team activated there bringing and hour bottle in with them to supply oxygen

  • So did rick make it out?

  • I have an idea: How about we pass a law where politicians only get minimum wage and then give all that new revenue to Firefighters and the Police (the "true public servants" that risk their lives on any given day!!). Yep...sounds good to me.

You guys are the best and should be paid "HIGHEST POSSIBLE SALARY KNOWN TO MAN"!!

We NEED firefighters and police...we don't especially 'need' politicians (on both party lines, makes no difference!)

  • base on this video and what i saw, your department needs to train on calling for a urgent or a mayday call, also when command is told that there is a collapse, he or she should be getting info from interior officers and starting his/her rit team no exceptions @ this time all radio traffic should stop and command needs to check on his/her crew and what there needs maybe hense the lunar locatuion, unit, name, air supply, resources needed. hope this critisium helps be safe Dc muttie

  • Scary stuff. Great job keeping your composure. Glad everyone made it out!

  • at 5:37 is that the jihad hemlet? It looks like he's got some M1000's strapped to it.

  • This is exactly the sort of thing I *don't* tell my family about.... they would be worried to death if I did. Just a couple of weeks ago myself and three others were nearly buried under a church roof that collapsed. Our Battalion Chief spotted the roof going and called us out just in time. Videos like this would be great to show guys who were thinking of becoming firefighters, because these sort of situations WILL happen to you sooner or later. It's just the nature of the job.

  • Book's a guideline; nothing more. It's there because SOMETHING has to be put on paper to give you a picture of what you gotta do on the firefloor. Probies looking at this video should remember that. The trick is to take what's written and figure out how best to apply it to your situation, not the other way around. Some things will work some won't. But doing only what that book says to the letter will kill you just a easy as going in without gear.

  • what was your initial task upon entry into the house? primary search?

  • surprised nobody died, entering a fully fledged house fire without water is a surefire way to get yourself killed.

  • What department is this by the way?

  • how common is it to hav hoses with ...rips in em??

  • rick you scared the shit out of me mang!

  • Can I get a Mayday plz a par something. I cant just rag on you ok you made a mistake but those mistakes could kill you that was VERY bad firefighting. But I:m glade you made it out alive.

  • One thing I did not hear in this video is a PAR. Incident command or safety should have been all over that. I agree with other people....get a clear assignment before running into a fire. You might be able to prefent this or something worse.

  • americian

  • i see the white helmet's doing some work :)

  • think someone should have called a MAYDAY MAYDAY MAYDAY!!!... ?

  • you get off the truck...RUN into the front door, don't size up and ask someone who has been there before you got there what is going on....stop in the house right in the door way and then say....do we go up or down??? your response... I DON'T KNOW...then why are you running into the freakin building .. what exactly do you are accomplishing with your halligan by yourselves, dont get me wrong i am truckie myself but honestly that was one of the most ridiculous things i have ever seen

  • @USMarine510, its easy for you to judge but whats not shown or heard is any command given via radio prior to the video rolling and them committing to a search.. call it stupid call it dumb, call it what you will but they're firefighters, obviously will a line stretched through the front door, an interior crew is already inside, theres a strong chance that this secondary crew was given orders for to commence a search for victims.. glad everyone made it out unscathed! btw, just making a point :)

  • Holy Crap!!! Wow you must have had a Golden Horseshoe up you ass lol...Glad your safe but damn. You should not have been there that house was gone why risk your self and your crew for a concrete slab. Dont get me wrong I have been agressive and done some pretty risky shit and learned from them Im a little more aware now a days lol. Man when you get caught in a collapse it feels like the end. I hope you learned from this and look for these conditions now. Be Safe Brothers.

  • @ Himdarling44

While some are "raggin," many of us see what went wrong and are commenting on what we see. This is beneficial because it allows for learning. True, we do not want to portray ourselves as the best or perfect; however, we need to have honest discussions about what we see. Like it or not, when it is posted on YouTube for all to see, then expect people to comment on it, both good and bad. Measured written responses that everyone can learn from are waht we should strive for.

  • where's RICK?!

  • 5:45 what's on the back of his helmet?

  • @bobfrapples37 Search and Rescue blocks...hang em on a doorknob after a room search so it prevents double searching.

  • @fyrefighter3327 Ahh.. I swore they looked like m-80's...haha! I like the idea, but what if you run out?

  • @bobfrapples37 usually everyone on a truck s/r crew has em, and usually a minimum of 3 guys go in on a search so u got plenty lol

  • It doesn't matter whether you do it right or wrong. What matters is that you tried. What matters is that we put our lives on the line for others.

THe only thing that was pissing me off was the PASS that kept going off.

  • aren't evac tones on a scean 3 pulls on the air horn also with the tones?

  • this is hard to watch... shit happeens, but dont bring the shit upon yourselves which is what seems to have happened in this case.you guys ran into a house that was severely compromised already by fire. it appears that the fire ha been burning for quite awhile when you arrived. and you didnt bring in a hose line, which is your life line in these circumstances. glad everybody went home and hopefully we can all learn from these kind of mistakes.

  • I agree with dalwitten1!!!! Never run into the fire scene! did you even passport in???? You didn't have a hose line with you. Your lucky you weren't in the building very long before the collapse and you got out quickly. Yes please be safe!

  • What happened to Rick?

  • @ag4yo he got out and he was talking to him at 5:00 min lol

  • way to gfet out of there man and be calm i can understand the uncontrolled breathing you could have been seriously hurt way to go buddy

  • Another little piece of advice is the fact that every building is different and every car is different, which in turn makes every fire different. You can't go into every fire thinking the same game plan, if you do and something goes wrong or you hit a kink in your plan, you will freeze up and not know what to do. Your mind always has to be turning. In this case the roof collapsed on the guys, did he stop and figure out what to do next? He moved on, checked on his buddy, and stepped up.

  • No there isn't a perfect fire department. Academy only teaches enough to stay alive. Contructive critism is that Coming off a truck on any scene its every firefighters responsibility to do at least a look around. The one thing that does scare me about this video is that Rick's partener didn't call a may day for lost fireman 2. Rick didn't advise that he was in or out of burning structure via radio. Hopefully they will take this video and learn to have an organize fire attack. SFD

  • @himdarling44 You NEVER and I mean NEVER leave your partner behind I don't know what training you did or what department or anything you belong to but they had to have taught you that you never leave your partner in a burning building no matter what I don't care what anyone says especially when he is calling his partner that is one thing that should not happen and one of the worst mistakes in this video

  • what was the lady crying about, and this is a great vid, it is scary and this is when life flashes before your eyes, i am planning on signing up for my fire department when i am 18 and I am excited to do so

  • I just reposted Squad7man's original comments that were posted shortly after the video was uploaded..... Go back and check... he is talking to rick at 5:45 and new he was ok... if you turn it up real loud... you can hear him respond...

Yea the fireground is a disaster and there are plenty of saftey issues... but he DID NOT LEAVE his fellow firefighter without knowing he could get to saftery.

  • Slapper

  • if you pause it at 5:45 why does it look like he has 4 M80s on the back of his lid

  • @grim42reaper0 are they smoke stiks or m80's either way not real bright

  • @mrpotatohead8989 They are neither. They are door chocks, read previous description for explanation.

  • @grim42reaper0 They look like M80's but that's not what they are. They are door chocks made out of like a broom handle or something like that with a bent nail in the top of them. They stay in your helmet a little better that normal chocks but they cant hold a door open like a normal chock can. A lot of guys like them.

  • You know guys sometimes, scratch that, everytime we go out on a run, it doesn't always go "by the book." They don't teach you that in the academy or anywhere else. Tell you what, if someone can show me their department doing everything right at an actual fire, when someone's life is on the line, then I will retract all my statements. Until then stop ragging on other departments because none of them are perfect including mine and yours. So think about that before you post.

  • @Himdarling44 Best thing ive ever read on here

  • @Himdarling44 Very well said brother

  • @Himdarling44 Exactly, when there is life on the line, you do what you can to save it, life safety is number one, when things go down hill, you dont have time to think, but to do. When there is a firefighter down, everything stops, and especialy if your a volunteer, there may not be a hole lot of people there at the moment, and exterior guys arent SCBA qualified, so the guy on the ladder probably couldnt wear it. But Thumbs up to you Himdarling44

  • @Himdarling44 clap clap clap

  • @Himdarling44 Nicely put i was involved in one of those calls where it didnt go as planed this week and it looking back i know what mistakes were made on my part but all we can do is learn from our mistakes thats whats important and if you like you can check out the video is Firefighter helmet MELTS while working a fire. And just for the record we had a safty meeting after and the back of the bulding was ventailed. We went in because of the close proximty of a house

  • I think everyone commenting on this video needs to shut the fuck up. Personally I think this was all acceptable. At the end of the video you can hear some lady crying. Maybe her child was inside, maybe that's why there were so aggressive. Too many goddamn maybe's to be critiqueing the video like you are. Unless you were there and witnessed the mistakes then you have no business to talk cause you don't know what happened.

  • @Himdarling44 Amen dude, Amen!

  • this has to be a joke. comedy firefighting haha

  • hhahahahahaahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its comedy firefighting! This is a joke right?

  • they are all rookies obviously!

  • yo asshole stop yelling RICK...RICK....CAll whoever is running this shit show

  • risk alot to save alot, risk little to save little. i think this counts as save little. this is the worst firefighting ive seen. and im a two-year nubie

  • Pretty pathetic....many good comments here. I too could go on but think everyone else has made comments similar to my thoughts. Many lessons here on what not to do. I will leave this by just saying I am glad everyone got out safely.

  • @delon366 just because 1 jackass does stupid things doesn't mean it's a "volley" dept. I've seen paid depts that are just as stupid. My dept would have booted this guy out for what he did, so don't lump all volunteers together. And if you don't know many paid guys still volley on there days off. And to the person saying "1 guys actions doesn't represent the whole dept" ....did you not notice the rest of the morons in the building, blocking the door, and I could go on and on.

  • Glad you made it out safe bro. By the way, were you riding a horse around? Stay safe.

  • Rick Rick Rick!!! LMAO, jump off a truck and run straight in without making contact with any officer.

  • is he even carrying a portable cuz i dont hear anything from a radio except for it being outside.

  • Comment removed

  • They should have blew that horn as soon as that roof collapsed...where is the safety officer? 3 times on the air horn... EVERYONE OUT. That could have been a lot worse. Coordination?

  • 摄像机好像不是很好 声音有点刺刺响

  • you guys are breathing to heavy

  • Wow... Looks like someone needs to go back to fire 1!

  • Comment removed

  • Squad 7 man i understand your perdecerment but as soon as you and your partner got separated you should have called a mayday and advised them of the situation

  • ths is the most stupid vid clip i seen tonight.. the fireman that had to bail out in the beginning didnt call for a mayday till after the fact he was half way out of the house and no one showed up in the back to check on him then the fact that his partner either got lost or bailed on him with out notifying that he was lost or advanced in the house then at the end the decide to call for a mayday and a search.. like wtf... poor communication guys.. i

  • @mcjm52309 i agree but its not stupidity

  • @mcjm52309 firefighter not fireman. a fireman is the guy who stokes the furnace on a steam locomotive or steamboat :)

  • this is the most stupid vid clip i seen tonight.. the fireman that had to bail out in the beginning didnt call for a mayday till after the fact he was half way out of the house and no one showed up in the back to check on him then the fact that his partner either got lost or bailed on him with out notifying that he was lost or advanced in the house then at the end the decide to call for a mayday and a search.. like wtf... poor communication guys..

  • WHeres Rick??!!

  • wow...how long after you got out were you able to get Rick out of the house?

  • It's just as easy to say, Rick left his partner first saying something to the effect, he's found a hole down and has gotta go this way.

You could see the ladder was setup for a while so it's not like he said fuck Rick! the smallish space he (the camera man) was left in wasn't getting any more comfortable with out a hoseline, and I agree if he got out first a mayday should have been called or par check.

Cause it's not like he could have got in the other way to find him :) lol that doorway w

  • He said fuck Rick didn't he.....

  • and wow you dick you left him in there

  • in my township we arent allowed to enter any structure with an uncharged hose ... and we have like 3 man teams i think

  • Lets all stand in the doorway and see who can get the saltiest helmet!!!!!!!! Who cares if nobody can get in and out!!

  • Do you have an entry control officer before entering or is that done in your firetruck?

  • textbook example of what not to do. sorry guys but that was reckless on your part

  • This WHOLE fire scene was a cluster fuck from the beginning!! I'm amazed no one died here idk what the IC was doing letting everybody just run around not getting much of shit accomplished!

  • EVACUATION TONES MEAN GET THE FUCK OUT MORONS NO HANGING OUT AND TRYING TO LOOK GOOD FOR THE PICTURES...and what the hell is your problem???? where was the MAYDAY?????????????????????????????????????????????????????? Shame on everyone in this Department.. i would love to have the Division of Fire Safety audit everyone in this department. Its reasons like this that people go ahead and get killed...

  • An entire BOOK could be written on this incident titled, "What NOT to do on a working structure fire". This is a perfect example of freelancing at its absolute best. Shame on you and more so, your department.

  • Had this happen to me once in an appartment fire. Scary as heck. Two hose lines inside. My back up ran out the house leaving me alone. I never partnered up with him again. All four made it out ok.

  • All you have to realize, is there is no possibility of any living thing surviving in the environment they are going into, so why enter? Not like they're going to rescue anything. At that point it's just a body recovery. All about risk/benefit analysis.

  • 1. Never run on a Fire Scene 2. Not controlling breathing 3. Left his buddy in the FIRE 4. Seems to be no Accountability system 5. No one was heeling the ladder as he came down 6. The guy coming up the ladder had no SCBA on 7. It looks like everyone and their brother is in the House 8. when the hose burst no one goes to get at the very least a hose jacket 9. No sight of a safety officer and now I'm running out of characters for this comment but the list goes on and on. Please be Safe Brothers!
  • @dalwitten1 i agree

  • @dalwitten1 so you have never made mistakes? never had an "oh shit" moment

  • @dalwitten1 BB+H20=FO....1.idk what company you work for but walking does not put the fire out any quicker. 2. good luck with having man power healing the ladder 3. and who the fuck uses a hose jacket anymore?

go back to your podunk pick up truck with your lights on top, and go put out a barn.

  • @bizkitb that is true walking does not put the fire out any quicker, BUT running increases your respiratory rate which decreases the amount of time in your SCBA tank. walking=controlled breating= more time searching for victims!

  • @dalwitten1 OMG your right!. our fire department is showing us this video and your comment. nice one!

  • @dalwitten1 I cannot believe there are atill guys, like YOU, out there still playin the Arm-Chair QB! I absolutely hate reading 99% of all comments left about any fire, cause there's always some f-ing Jackass that thinks he's THE MAN. "I know it all" attitude, "You should've done this, should've done that" bullsh*t has gotten so g*dd*mn ridiculous that it pains me think how many guys out there think that they've fought the perfect fire every single time. I know it strokes your ego, but STOP.

  • @tomgandolph33

You may not like dalwitten1's comments, but they were true. We can all learn from scenario training. When someone posts something expect comments, good and bad. The guy RAN straight from the truck and into the fire. He did not check in with any accountability officer/command officer/sector officer/staging officer. Rather, he went straight in without doing any personal size-up (should we be here). If that is acceptable in any department, then I retract my statements!

  • @dalwitten1 Wow, I just finished learning ALL of this in my firefighter safety class...

  • @dalwitten1 I agree that you shoul not run straight into the building, and you should control the breathing, but things seemed to have gone downhill very quickly. First i dont think they should have done scene safety, for the roof looked as if it would give way at any moment when they arrived. He had to leave is buddy, the roof collapsed between them, and he could not reach him without compromising his own safety, but he could hear him, and knew he was alright, and had an escape.

  • @dalwitten1 never run? not controlling breathing? its a working house fire with possible trapped victims. and breathing? it doesn't matter if you breathe lightly or hard. you can get another pack and be good to go. you cant get another person because u were going super slow to make sure ur breathing was okay.and hell if im in a struct. fire and that roof collapses im running wherever i damn well please. i agree on everything else. but you gotta remember the stress there on in this vid.

  • @dalwitten1 Way to go buddy, you remembered a couple things you read in a firefighter training book. Congrats, I bet you scored real well on the state test. Unfortunately in real life scenarios you don't have your book with you or a check list to follow. Every fire is different and your game plan can change in a second, like this one did for them. I bet the last thing on the FF with camera's mind was making sure that someone was healing a ladder for him as him bailed out of an almost fully

  • @dalwitten1 envolved room. 1 You will never see a FF "walking" on a fire scene when there are other FF's in a mayday situation, if you do HIT THEM HARD. 2. Control your breathing, I almost laughed, you obviously have never been in a situation like this. I wish I could be there when you are though so I can tell YOU to control Your breathing and also to change your shorts tough guy cause you just shit all over yourself. 3. He couldn't get to him, fire blocked his route to him. What's next?

  • @dalwitten1 Common sense tells me to find another way to my partner, even if that means I have to leave the fire here and re-enter somewhere else. 4. Plus 1, I agree with you. 5. Covered this. 6. Again, Mayday situations call for drastic actions to save a brother. 7. Same as 6. 8. A burst hose is the last thing I am worried about when trying to get guys out. 9. Agree. 10. Your profile says your 22, It sounds like you have read a book or two but don't mistake what you read in a book.

  • @dalwitten1 Just cause you can read doesn't make you good. These guys prob have 10+ more years in the service then you so what you should do is take this video and use it to see how you should act when one or more of your brothers goes down in a fire. BALLS TO THE WALL, GET HIS ASS OUT! So since you are new to the service I would say keep your mouth shut and your eyes and ears open.

  • @ffp152 Nice ffp152, a little long but states all the points fully.

  • @ffp152

It is your attitude that helps foster a need to go "BALLS TO THE WALL" in order to "GET HIS ASS OUT." I am a company officer with 15 yrs in a full time dept. and I happen to believe safety is a huge issue. Sure, lets go! Let's make an agressive interior attack or rescue, when warranted; however, our response should be calculated (cost/benefit analysis, what does the smoke tell us, what are the right tactics). Do you disagree?

  • @LtD1000000 I agree...to a point. Either way I will never change my mind about getting my brother out, you take your time calculating risk/beneift, i'll use my common sense and experience and get my fellow brother out.

  • @dalwitten1 sounds like someone is enjoying their explorer program.

  • WHAT A BUNCH OF AMATEURS

  • I won't begin to go through all the negative points on this fire ground. All I can say is wow, The chief had damn well better clean up this department and their tactics.

  • My question is why did he just run straight in from the engine, not getting briefed by command at all, RIDING WITH THE DOOR OPEN, no mayday alert, and why the hell are you WALKING into a working structure fire, not to mention directly under the collapse zone. Looks like some movie where they all just run in. If that happened my department, my ass would be in the chiefs office faster than shit probably getting fired and lucky to not kill my tact team.

  • Well guys im gonna have to say oats75 should probably go down to his local fire dept pick up a application get on and then start fire fightiing, granted i havent been doing it for 30+ years, i've only been doing for 4 years but i watched this video and seen 900billion mistakes, i have no sympathy for this dept, and no i have never met them nor do iwant to. They scare me enough thru the video let alone face to face

  • This video is a good example of BAD firefighting! I will be showing this video to students I will be teaching firefighter classes to. It will be interesting to see how many mistakes the students can find in this video. Anyone who thinks this is good firefighting technique should review the firefighter training books they received when they fist started to become firefighters!

  • so what was the point of going in the house? Fully involved 2 stories, through the roof. you didnt have a hoseline and you werent crawling so you werent doing a search, or maybe you were, kind of... The fire already vented itself vertically and horizontally so if you were doing ventilation, well good luck with that...

  • holy shit thank god they are okay

  • oats75 must be a rookie...

  • 5. Why no mayday ?

    6. Terrible ladder bail technique.

    7. Primary Attack line is near severed, now your deuce and a half in a trash line.

    8. Who's the ass in the way with no SCBA.

    9. I have to commend you though, I bet you guys have never lost a cellar hole Way to go Cowboys I pray you learn from this before you have a LODD....May god be with you because you need all the support you can from above

  • Oats75 are you kidding me ? your a moron just like these others in the video. "people make mistakes there is no such thing as a perfect/ mistake free incident so don't you be judging them ". Make sure you use that in your eulogy of a fallen brother it will certainly make his or her's loved ones feel much better.

    Lets dissect this rodeo:

    1. Never open the doors to an apparatus while moving

    2. Why are you on air in the apparatus

    3. Why did you go in standing ?

    4. Why did you split up ?

  • Did Rick ever get out?

  • I actually watched the begining to make sure what i was seeing was real!!!!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!?!?!?! These guys are lucky they didnt loose there lives!! They must have got done watching Backdraft, to just grab a tool and sprint into a collapsing structure. No water, no accountability, no command and the cheifs were all in the doorway. It looked to me that all they were doing was trying to melt there helmets all at the same time to look "cool". You should be embarresed to put this online!!!

  • @EMT13069 hey buddy maybe command advised them of their assignment in the rig before the video started and how is it this guys fault about people being in their in an almost collapsed building i thought those decsions were for comman to make and not just a firefighter on a rig.

  • @oats75 When you take basics they tell you your safety is your responsibility. If he is an educated firefighter he should have been able to realize the conditions. If he his not educated he should not be going interior.

  • that there had bin a collaps and he told ic to evac the house. as far as his partner maybe he did not have a radio maybe he could not reach his pass but he could still move alittle bit that it cause the pass not to go off.

  • I dont think Rick made it out in time

  • That was one of the most avoidable close calls I have ever seen. You guys were on the squad ? Hmm usually the guys that ride the squad here are the elite....I can certainly see your dept. has no clue of ff survival as well as FF 1 basics but I am guessing your woman's auxiliary makes some great grits though. Damn Whoopies..LODD look it up

  • @nhclubdj dont you fuckin bash a guy who risks his life doing his community a service and how dare you judge a whole department by one 9 min video on youtube, have you ever been to this department or meet these guys? i didnt think so. people make mistakes there is no such thing as a perfect/ mistake free incident so dont you be judging them

  • Wow... If this was my fire scene I would be embarassed. This is total chaos and it appears that there is no fire suppression or control being done. I can not believe my eyes. It appears that there is no command structure and poor tactics are being displayed. NEVER LEAVE YOUR PARTNER BEHIND!!!!

  • i see were ur coming form there TheChicagoMichael and i all so see were AKitchen033 is coming form .and the hose thing i was wondering the same thing about that hose and how they were using the front of the house to get to the fire

  • Great Video ! Good job of staying in touch with your partner at all times.

You did a good job by making sure your partner was safe then getting yourself out via the ground ladder & notifying command.

    Stay Safe

    Dave Reed PFD

  • wow you guys suck. Is this really Americas fire departments ???????

  • Hahahahahhaha . Funny how the only water flowing on this fire was from a busted hose. WTF???????

  • @fire4525 You are an ass. Worry about the Brothers first and water. later. Glad everyone made it out without major injuries. This could have been A LOT worse!

  • Holy cow how many firefighter can you fit in a door way. These guys are a butch of cowboys. If they work for me it would be the last time. Wake up and slow down. They give firefighters a bad name.

  • you can hear him yelling to his partner and he had to say he was ok. Mayday didnt need to be called because he is in any danger and he can get out ok. If anyone knows scene safety you make sure ur safe first and then ur partner. He did go back in for his partner afterward. And whoever says you can get find you cant get fined for saving urself.

  • why would you go in to a house fully involved when you see the fire all a round you and you know the structure is gonna be weak and prolly collapse form the roof and also why would you leave your partner behind i would never leave my partner thats why you hang on to there foot second of all i would never enter a fully involved struture fire when you know what the out come could be

  • I do not understand why there was no MAYDAY called. the two were split up, then the fire fighter in the window radios to command. Yet, there is no message relayed that the team was split up. On top of this, the structural integrity of the house is obviously questionable on the Alpha side of the building. Yet, there are multiple fire fighters crowded in the door way, even after the evacuation is called. I also do not agree with the defensive hose line with fire fighters in the door way.

  • I love how his buddy bails on him
