@NioAoyama Listen to Kalafina, all the fictionjunction works...and much more, and you'll know. She composes/writes EVERYTHING, the music, the lyrics. She's basically the reason why this music sounds AMAZING. I HIGHLY recommend reading the wikipedia page, especially the list of her songs and works.

Plus, she's a great piano player. She's a very influential composer in Japan right now.

@Heimska Maybe what anaphainesai means lead is the songs with Keiko as the starter singer of the song. And for me, yami no uta is a Keiko-leaded song, because the structure is Keiko's solo - chorus (Hikaru and Keiko) - kajiuran - Keiko - chorus (Hikaru and Keiko). Anyway this song is great. And having a Keiko in bridge is awesome~

No matter how much you dun like the songs you shouldn't say that. the singers put a lot of effort and hours into the songs and everyone is entitled to their cups of tea. you may not like it but others might. and anyway keiko's kaze no machi he is nice. though I'm a huge yuuka fan. :)

@pikachuwei Those are covers of songs that other people have performed first, though. In terms of Kalafina and FictionJunction, Keiko singing the melody is extremely rare. She's usually just used as a backup singer.

@Heimska I think you're wrong, Keiko is quite often the main singer ... 5 songs in Everlasting songs (Hoshikuzu, Gin no Hashi, Kaze no Machi he, synchronicity, Houseki), but, that's right, less in Kalafina : 3 songs in Red moon and 2 in Seventh Heaven. Most of the time, the three of Kalafina have an important part in each song.

Actually, I'm a huge fan of Wakana =)

@anaphainesai She shares Gin no Hashi and Hoshikuzu with other people, and in Kalafina, she usually has two lines (Yami no Uta, Hoshi no Utai, fairytale) before being cut off by Hikaru or Wakana. 3 to 5 songs out of the 40+ that Kalafina have done isn't really a big number.

idk about FictionJunction as much, but the one's I've listened to just filter her into the chorus.

I'm a huge fan of them all! It's just I've always had a thing for deeper voices, and Keiko definitely has a deep voice.

In Red moon, TETOTETOMETOME, fantasia, and Yami no Uta (yes, she's got the theme in there). Btw, Yami no Uta is really great, it fits Keiko very well ^^

In Seventh Heaven, Ongaku and Seventh Heaven ( I don't like this one much though).

She's the main singer in these 5 ones, but indeed it's isn't much, out of the 30 songs of the CDs!

We'll see what she's going to sing in the 3rd album, I can't wait !!

@anaphainesai Ahh, I don't consider fantasia and Yami no Uta to be Keiko's lead songs, that's probably why I was confused! Hikaru sings most of Yami no Uta and fantasia, but Keiko does get four solo lines or so, which is more than she usually does;;

That being said, she was an excellent sounding support in Kagayaku Sora no Shijima ni wa, Hikari no Senritsu and fairytale! Her deep vocals are really beautiful, I think, especially in the live performances! ; A;
