  • Love the way you did these blocks

  • I love this block but when I put it together I have 1/4 of an inch left over. It would work if the piece was 2 and 3/4 not 3 inches. Any suggestions??

  • I have some turnover packets, and have been looking for a project to use them in. THIS IS IT! Thank you for discovering that they can be used to make a stack and whack quilt!

Jenny...you are amazing the way you figure these things out!! I love the MSQC!!

HELP?? if theres a blog or a chanel please let me know:)

  • Hi Jenny,

I made a Stack and Whack quilt some time ago and it was labor intensive. Your way is excellent and fast. I will definitely make a quilt using your method. Thank you for the demo.

  • Super Cute and Fast!!! So many ideas, so little time!

  • fixed it........... take one of the triangles and cut 1/4 inch of the edge that you are going to sew to the rectangle it comes out perfect

  • I loved the video and am at this moment making one , but my piece with the 3x8 rectangle want fit to it mate correctly it is to small am I doing something wrong. I keep ending up with no seam allowance on the finished block and not a square can you please tell me what size the finished block should be thnakyou

  • I am actually making one of these quilts right now. Jenny you are such an inspiration.

  • Hi Jenny. Thanks for this. I've made the quilt top (like yours with black as the background) and will use a black backing fabric. Now I'm wondering what color thread I can quilt it with so I can quilt on both the black background and the Wintersong colorful triangles. Can you help please?

  • @YouTwoToob I quilted mine with black. I wanted the black to recess back.

  • Hi thank you for sharing this awesome quilt art works.i have one question.whats the name for the cushion back closure with flap &snaping button called??could you help me with that .please.thank you so much for your help.

  • Can you tell me the dimensions of the turnovers? I can't find this fabric anymore :(

  • @dpaulson512 the triangles are 6", so cut 6" squares diagonally to make 2 6" triangles.

  • I just love your tutorials. When I am stuck for Ideas I watch a few of your videos and it gets my brain in gear again.

  • What are the triangle measurements?

  • @stella421

When I sew the unit with two triangles it comes out slightly different than the unit with one turnover and one 3 x 8 inch square. Am I doing something wrong?

    Kathie

  • Clever, ladies! You can also tame the kind of busy look you get from using a turnover, which contains one each of all the prints in a given collection, by either buying a yard or two of one of the solids and cutting that into triangles (so you have more solid triangles in your lap quilt) or buying two or more turnovers and re-sorting the triangles such that each lap quilt you make has fewer different prints in it.

  • Thanks for showing us how to do this/

  • I love these tutorials. I learn so much and get great ideas. Please keep them coming! Also, thanks for always sending my online orders so fast!!

  • could you tell me what size each triangle is thanks

  • @millymut The turnovers she refers to are 6" triangles. (The two shorter, perpendicular sides are 6")

  • @lottaan Thanks Lottan, you're exactly right!

  • Could you specify the size of the triangle to be cut. Thanks in advance

  • I'm making a magic stack and whack right now and that is a great idea to make it look scrappy like that...wow! love the black background too!
