@xXCookieXx666 do you know what the doppler effect is?, when something such as a sound or light wave is fired or hit the wave length is continuose but when in a sequence the sound waves get pushed togeather creaating a higher pitch. hope i explained your theory:)

I have a question. When I rest both my feet on the pedals, the right pedal is just fine, my right foot rests on it and the beater touches the head and the pedal does not touch the bottom of the base. But when I rest my left foot on the left pedal, it does the complete oppistite, the beater does not touch the head all the way by just a little and the pedal touches the floor. I just got this pedal last saturday and I really need help. If someone can help me it would be much appreciated.

@IIK1LLsW1TCHII You can easily adjust the pedal with an allen wrench and some time. If you use these specific pedals, there is a small insert for an allen wrench underneath the actual left beater itself. You can loosen that bit, push the beater forward just a bit so it WOULD be touching the bass head, then tighten it back up.

I probably explained it terribly, but if you check out the pedals, you'll see what I mean.

@IIK1LLsW1TCHII One other thing. I had this happen with some of these pedals that I bought as well. The little metal insert in the connecting rod literally TWISTED, resulting in my left beater not hitting the bass head. Definitely check your connecting rod to make sure this didn't happen to you, as well. I had to take mine back to the store I bought it from so they could send it back to Tama and give me a new one.

@Maxarcc Test all pedals if you can because these cobras might not be right for you. For example these have more bouncing back energy which is good but they are heavier than the elimanators. You might not like these but you would love the eliminators or then the dw 5000 is the right one for you.

@ddrummer55 I know Iron Cobras are basically the most reliable pedals you can buy. My friend just broke his DW 5000 pedal after 8 years though. In my opinion, with the beaters they give you for the cobras, they will give you the most speed out of any other pedal. The DW 9000 pedals can give you more but the stock beaters on it are too heavy. I never used the 9000's with lighter beaters. So who knows.

OMG i just got the same heads and doublebass drumpatch as well as iron cobra. use Gibraltar doublebass patch if you are that fast. the gibs sound better. i made the mistake of getting the aquarian and taking off the gibraltar but i figured i needed the practice of getting the rebound and sprining off the bass head as an assist for doubblebass work before i move on to a thinker patch.
