Love this song. I never met him while he was here on earth, but Roger is my hero in music, not only for his talent but for his beautiful testimony and love for God and people! Remember, we will be with Roger far longer than we will without him! Can't wait to see you in eternity, Roger! <3
I'm sure when Roger died, he could say like Paul: "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give to me at that day; and not to me only, but also to all them that have loved his appearing." RIP Mr. Bennett
While reading the comments, I can't say it better than all of you above, I never met Roger, he was ill when I first seen Legacy Five, But there is something about him that touches me as my brother in the love of Jesus. and God. This song is so beautifiul. But Legacy Five will go on they are a great group and they sound great
Mone of our young people just passed away saturday 1am. This song fits him. he fought lukemia 10 months and he was a christian 8 months. but that span of time he lived his life up to his last breath fighting a good fight and keep the faith. To Melchor Licuanan...a blessed enourager...God bless...he's running to the arms of JEsus Finally home to stay...
I was in tears by the end of this song...driving home from a trip and it was playing as I drove into my driveway...my father was a "Hero of the Faith"!! Daddy was taken away at 60 and no one new why it had to happen so soon and so very unexpected...And as much as he is missed so terribly much..we all know he is a "Defender/Hero of the Faith" and dancing/praising in Heaven. Love you Daddy & miss much!! Your daughter, Holly
I've been Blessed to see these great men of God numerous times, but the one I will always cherish was Rogers last tour. In Colorado Springs he came out of his resting room during their break to sign my book, knowing he should not get to close to anyone because of his condition. He is now one of Our Great Heroes of the Faith, giving his ALL to our Lords service.
i got to see L5 in concert last july, but that was with tim parton. tim is a great pianist, but there will never be a true replacement for this great man of God. may God bless his sainted memory. RIP. you will be greatly missed, Roger.
I got to meet Roger Bennett several years ago at the National Quartet Convention and he was such a great guy. We will miss you and your ministry for Christ!
I like this song. I normally do not listen to L5 because I do not like the beaty style. BUt, this song is not like that. This song has an awesome message.
when i heard about roger i just cried! and my stomach just got upset when i heard about it that i almost threw up! we got to hear Legacy Five but with Tim Parton who is now the pianist for L5

This same song was playin on a cd my dad had while driving to the nursing home where my grandpa would later die. no coincidence there
chipperfan52698 1 year ago
@chipperfan52698 You mean your grandpa died because you listened to this song on the way to the nursing home?
AtariMaxiToriyama 1 year ago
@AtariMaxiToriyama not because of that just because it was just playing when my dad was on the way to the nursing home

Did ya'all know that this is Roger's tribute to Glenn Payne? L5 wil never be the same without him!this is so good.

When he said "and then I saw with Spirit Eyes the entrance you must have made."
It's an INSTANT picture to me of Glenn.
I love this. And Roger now is reunited with Glenn and George..and that's gotta be a PARTY to beat all.

Legacy Five...The greatest group along with Greater Vision, and the Cathedrals!
They didn't/don't just sing well, hit the notes, and stay on key, But they LIVE THE LIFE...That's what makes them "heroes of the Faith".
It's not about the us, it's about winning people for the kingdom....You can really tell that these men love God entirely.
Praise God for our Heroes of the Faith...
