I am so angry that this show disappeared from BBCAmerica - I had just fallen in love with it. Please don't tell me that the horrid, ugly Gordon Ramsey can draw more viewers; he repulses me.
@stillwaterguy04 I know, right? They said it was going on a break, then BOOM, it's just gone completely. Gordon Ramsey is too much of an asshole for my taste, all his yelling seems immature to me.
@pickles1314, BBCAmerica seems to revel in presenting wonderful shows and then yanking them out from under us: "Dragon's Den," "The Hotel Inspector," and now "Come Dine With Me." Someone has declared war on good TV, LOL - The History Channel yanked "UFO Hunters."
@robertogan - our accents are the original mother tongue...so really we're not the odd ones are we? That would be the various colonists from Britain who ended up founding some of the greatest nations on earth...weird accents and customs accepted :o)
@Hereticalable yes, damn us americans for being able to correctly pronounce "t" and "th" at the end of our words....and how can you make a dig at anyone with that crazy Indian woman representing your country...
@piper7069 - First, I'm not making a dig, I'm responding to someone else who doesn't seem to see regional British English accents like the one's in this episode as valid English.
Second, , I think you'll find most British people are more than capable of correctly pronouncing the language we invented and inherited.
Lastly, this woman is Sri Lankan and doesn't represent my country any more than Arnold Schwartzenegger represents yours :o)
@piper7069 relax...now do you have something intelligent / interesting to say about the show , other than bashing another culture? I don't think anyone gives a rat's bum how YOU americans pronounce anything.
@Hereticalable, I would argue that the French Huguenots, and not the British, are the source of much of the "Yankee ingenuity" that resulted in the American invention of cars, planes, lasers, fiber optics, etc. They came here in the 17th century, also. Of course, Germany can't be discounted, either, as a source of smart genes in USA.
@stillwaterguy04 - It would be a poor arguement though unless you can prove than most of these inventors had Huguenots surnames...unlike the Smiths, Watts, Jeffersons, Bells, etc etc...
Also, are you aware that cars were a mostly French, German & British effort, powered flight was down to Anglo-Americans and half the inventions of the last 100 years including the internet were British?
@robertogan I agree with you , I think the British have a great accent, a lot less harsh than North American accents,I think. . Not quite sure why they're an odd lot though???
@vafou hey our accent's aren't harsh. they're quite plain actually. have you ever heard a german accent???? not all north americans are bad. don't forget, mexico is also part of north america and their accents are completely different from the US and Canada. Plus, we Canadians are that bad. Sure we plagued the world with Justin Bieber but hey, we do try.
The producers of this programme are genius in that they manage to dredge up and throw together the worst sort of Bristish stereotypes, the type of people who recognise themselves upon watching 'Little Britain' but would never admit it. Their eye for the common, fastidious and the nitpicking (could be three words to sum Britain up) is incredible. Everyone sees a bit of themselves when they watch this stuff, like it or not.
I wish this show was still on BBC America.

The narrator in the Canadian version is sooooo mean (in a funny way). I like this narrator too, but then again I just love British stuff.

Really? Your top priority is to have Luton changed to Lutton? That's what keeps you thinking at night? Wow, she really is a lady of leisure.
