• Mine went through the same thing. He was literally screaming with pain, took him to the vet they couldn't figure out what was wrong with him. I figured out it had something to do with his food cause he was fine before that. Right after he ate it he was in deep pain so I detoxified him and he's been ok ever since, but he urinates frequently because of this incident.

  • I feel for ya man your pet or pet's dieing or exspecially haveing them uthanize is so heartbreaking no matter how ya try to move on ya just can't it's sad we had to have are 7 year old cat mouse put to sleep when I was a lil girl when I was 10 yearsold I am 21 years old & I still have tears when I think about him or are dog cindy that we had put down when I was 9 years old she had kidney stones we couldn't afford surgery so we had her put down still sad today when I think about them .

  • Anyone who sees this, view my profile.

Melamine killed his cat and melamine is slowly killing our children. It's in the U.S. food supply and it builds up slowly over weeks or months or years.

Melamine and cyanuric acid crystalize in the body and cause kidney stones, gall bladder stones and eventually kidney failure or bladder cancer, among other problems such as skin reactions, swollen tongue, etc. similar to the mouth problem he mentions in this video.

  • I requested you add me as a friend. Anyone concerned about how the same melamine tainted food that killed our pets is now causing kidney problems in our children, please view my profile and add me as a friend.

Feel free to write to me with any questions. I have spent well over 100 hours researching this.

Our lives are at risk. This is not paranoia or a joke.

  • Sorry for your loss.I had to also put my cat of 9 years to sleep today. I am sure it was the food also. The vet recommended I put her on Hills Prescription R/D in late Sept. 07. Oct 07 I started her with the small bag and she seemed fine.Last week not eating not drinking and just hiding. Wed night Dec 26 is when I really noticed her going down hill fast. Here it is Sat. Dec 29 and I had to put her to sleep today. The only place you can buy this food, killed my cat.

  • i am varry sorry.....

  • Hi! i'm from Argentina and don't know about food recall... what's that exactly??

(by the way, your cat was really beatiful)

  • Pet food recall that occured back in March which was known about by the feed companies a month prior. The issue was hot for about a month and has since been brushed under the rug. I still hurt, I still remember.

  • @Aeroslin it's ok, my cat died aswell from Iams recall. Kidneys shut down, and trouble seeing. Before then, he had diabetis. His name was Ginger, just letting you, your not alone.

  • @elisaisabel Food recall: The food and drug administration(FDA) regulates commercial retail products for safety to the public in the US. In a recall, the FDA issues a warning to the consumer via media and the retailer through mail that the product in question has received enough verified reports of contamination that makes it unsafe for public use. So retailers must pull it from their shelves and the public has been warned not buy it. In this case it is food.

  • im crying-

so sorry to hear you lost your pet.

please watch my pet food recall awareness video.

I just went thru hell with all four of my pets (3 dogs & a kitten) imagine having lost them - i'd die.

    I can only

  • To know why we have to boycott Chinese food to prevent ourselves from dying in CANCER, check this out:

    youtube.com/group/watch?v=gEmjgtTeidM

Chinese food items are not only poisonous to animals, they are poisonous to human beings!!!

  • We trust the government tooooo damn much!!!! When are we gonna do something????

  • I'm so sorry for your cat... Thank you for speaking out, that's what we need.

things are TOO quiet here in Korea as if we don't import any recalled food from the states while we also import the toxinated source from china as well...

  • very sorry about your cat. it's so hard to watch them suffer. our dog has kidney failure now. and his food is not on the list but i know that's what it's from because i never give him canned food and i did for a treat. a few days later he stopped eating, then vomiting for a week, then kidney failure. he was hospitalized for 6 days and is now home with iv fluids, but not doing so well. it makes me so mad to hear all these stories, and the companies are not very responsive to complaints/inquiries.

  • I'm so sorry for the loss of your cat. I appreciate you speaking out on such a difficult subject. I had to have my cat of nine years put to sleep 0n 02/28 because of the recalled food as well. I can't bring him back, but I can continue to speak out against this company and alert people to this underreported problem. Very powerful video. My heart goes out to you and your cat.

  • I just wanted to let you know I'm sorry about your

loss. I have 2 dogs and a cat and I just don't know

what to feed them, but the 4 of us send you our love.

  • I wish I could help you. I'm finding that even the good branded organic foods are questionable as they also have product they import from China. My stand at this point is that I'm not going to feed my cats any food that could be imported from China, period.

  • READ THE LABEL: It DOESN'T SAY the pet food is made in China! If you are so concerned buy from pet food makers who are not making food with risky ingredients just to save money. Or better, serve your pets "chop suey" we have served you since the times of California gold rush because its natural, tasty and risk free, like gourmet food for pets!

  • Indeed, it does not say that it was made in China and that means I have to do some homework now. Thankfully many of the organic and holistic food sites are up-front about where their ingredients are coming from and that makes my job easier to find the right food for my animals.

  • I am so sorry about your loss.

  • My dog started getting sick several weeks ago. I knew it was the dog treats that I bought from wal-mart, but everyone assured me that they were not recalled. Just a few days ago, the dog biscuits slipped onto the list. My dog also had a severe allergic reaction a few days ago and I thought it was somehow related to the food. I couldn't find any information about the allergic reaction related to the recalled food, but I knew in my heart that it was.

  • I'm deeply sorry for your lost. I couldn't imagine what I would have to go through if it happen to my dog since he's like part of my family... I hope you can get better.

  • There is a petition on "Itchmo" you can sign and post comments to. I encourage everyone to sign and also to write legislators to voice your opinions about this cruel and vicious attack on our animals. Can anyone tell me how to make the complaint to the FDA, I'm having trouble getting through.

  • Sorry for your loss. 'Menu Foods' is in 'high public relations mode'. Many more dogs and cats have died than they are telling us, because of their irresponsibility and callousness. Some even claim this could be 'bioterrorism', and that the terrorists are 'testing the system'! Scary stuff!

  • Yep, I definitely know what you're saying here. The same thoughts ran through my mind. Honestly, we shouldn't be importing generic food-stuff into America like wheat. We have plenty of land in this country in which to grown on, but do not.

  • You Arrogant Bastard^^. This guyz just lost his cat n all u can say is no more dead cat videos? U heartless weirdo

  • Just as everyone has the right to say what they want, so I also have the right to choose to listen. I deleted their comment. Thanks for stepping up.

  • The exact same thing happened to my dog, Cosmo. I'm sorry for your loss. I know exactly what you're going through.

  • I'm so sorry to hear about your cat. I personnally think that this has been a problem before now. My dog got sick in August of 2006, she was in intensive care and diagnosis with chronic kidney failure. I brought her home and treated her with subcantaneous fluids from August 15 until she passed away on January 19, 2007. She suddenly got sick, she had been eating one of these named foods (which was not listed as a 13.5oz. can)

  • CLASS ACTION: Look it up.

  • Awe, man...this is so sad! I'm sorry you lost you kitty :(

  • I lost a cat to diabetes a few years back but I don't know how he got it. Our cats now eat Iams crunchy food, is that what you mean by hard food?

  • Yes, supposedly the hard food is fine. It was just the soft food that was bad. However, I have ceased buying all Iams products forever. In fact, I took the list of companies on the Menu Foods recall list and made sure I bought something that was NOT on that list.

  • I am sorry to hear this, it's really a horrific experience.

  • I am so very sorry for your loss, Aeroslin. I believe Menu Foods killed one of my babies, too - a five month old perfectly healthy kitten. No compensation they could give us is worth what they've taken. Please know that you are not alone!

  • I am so saddened to hear of your loss. I think you and all pet owners affected by this tragedy should form a class action lawsuit against Menu Foods. This should never happen to another pet owner!

  • I'm very sorry for your lost. My sister's friend had a cat that suddenly died of kidney failure about a month or two ago, when no one knew about this recall.

Many people's pets died and no one would think that it was the food. Good luck and I wish you the best.

  • I am really very sorry for your loss. I was watching the news earlier today, and I believe they said that people whose pets have died or fallen ill are entitled to some compensation from Menu Foods. I know the compensation really means nothing, it is not the same as having your loved cat back, but I just wanted to inform you. God Bless.

  • Thank you for the information. I wouldn't expect anything less regarding some type of compensation. I filed an official complaint this morning with the FDA. The lady was very compassionate and understanding about my issue.

  • Thank you everyone for your support.

  • srry to hear that your cat passed,i lost my cat friday from kidney failure,he was 7 years old,and now my other cat is in the vet rite now with the same problem, she is not even one year old yet, from the catfood.

  • Our Cat died Saturday Afternoon. She ate "Special Kitty" soft pouch food from Wal-mart, 2 times a day. Her name was Periwinkle and she was part of the family for almost 10 years also. I'm glad you are voicing your ordeal on YOUTUBE becuz our pain is too raw to discuss on video. I emailed MENUFOODS website about Periwinkle when she was dying, asking for advice. No reply.

  • im so sorry to hear about your cat. my puppy ate the recalled wet canned food as well but is luckily okay. its very frustrating and upsetting. im right there with you on the issue

  • im so sorry to hear about your cat. my dog ate the affected wet canned food as well but is luckily okay. its very frustrating and upsetting. im right there with you!
