  • The players make too much! Without the owners there is no teams/arenas.. + I've never seen a business that the employees are making more than the owners lol.

  • @vivilakers haha, everyone makes a lot. but trust me, the owners make more

  • @itsDapsYO yep but thats life. Owners always and SHOULD always make more since they provide the invested money and their the one risking the most. Maybe i'm biased because im an owner but thats how i see it.

  • @vivilakers What do they risk? They get the arenas their teams play in to be built using taxpayers money.

The amount they spend on players salaries is fixed and the teams appreciate in value.

  • @bucknasty250 example by buying a team on the NBA if the team doesnt make money the OWNERS loses the most money. If an owner made a business and it doesnt work they lose alot if not ALL the money they invested. It actually is possible for the owner no matter how rich the owners are to lose all their money in ANY businesses. players really get payed too much. 2 million for a bench warmer or even a role player is ridiculous.

  • @itsDapsYO Brother,if I would've made a video on my thoughts about the nba lockout, this would be it!! My same thoughts exactly.I make less $ than the average salary that you quoted, yet I still pay for the tv channels that let me enjoy the nba,I buy tickets, jerseys, etc.,just to listen to these guys bitch and moan about not making enough money. And I do a job that is in reality more important than basketball(corrections officer;and haven't had a raise in 6 years due to the budget crisis)So WTF!!!!!

  • Statistics

  • @BetterDaysTV Inaccurate statistics

  • @bucknasty250 hey, thanks for watching. I can back up my statistics... which ones do you think are inaccurate?

  • @itsDapsYO Please provide evidence to me that teams are losing money (if they are losing money) due to player salaries and not other expenditures.

  • @bucknasty250 i didnt say players salaries were a direct positive correlation to certain teams losing money. but with wild contracts teams cant offload, it adds to the issues

  • @itsDapsYO If all 30 teams had 1 players on a very large contract like Eddie Curry that was underperforming I might be inclined to continue this debate but that is far from the case. I don't think you have done any research for this other than regurgitate the misinformation that David Stern and ESPN have been propagating.

  • @bucknasty250 of course all 30 teams dont have big money busts.

& you've honed in on 1 issue which was not my main point... so do you think the players should give in & save the season/

  • @itsDapsYO

The owners say they are losing money

They are telling the players because they are losing money we want to pay you less

The players have said well we do not believe you are losing as much as you say you are losing so unless you prove it to use we will not agree to being paid less

That in a nutshell is why the NBA is in this current situation.

I like the players do not believe the NBA owners and would like to see evidence of this.

  • @itsDapsYO

I asked you for this evidence and you said (and I quote) " but with wild contracts teams cant offload, it adds to the issues" so you must think it is a significant part of the owners problem. You also choose to quote the average salary to be $5 million but that isn't really a representative figure. It is augmented hugely by a few very large contracts.I still do not think you have really researched this post.
