I got tired of this game, quit for a while, then wanted to finish it but I was so far in I didnt know where to go so maybe just watching this will be good enough lol or I could just quit being lazy and start a new game =P
I agree with you, I don't have any idea why it got so much hate. Yes it was very linear, yes they changed the ending credits theme. But maybe since I've grown up with 8 bit RPGs that were even more linear I don't mind. Plus the English theme was thematically appropriate about seizing fate for yourself.
Oh and a black guy with a chocobo chick in his hair isn't half as odd as a Berserk Ranger with a "miniature giant space" hamster named Boo(Minsc and Boo from the PC Baldur's gate games).
I don't get it how one can consently post how much they hate something, yes we get it you hate Western RPGs, you hate Jrpgs, you hate FPS, ect. Just wondering, does anyone else miss the ability to change the character names. I mean I can see why they would remove it because it would be awkward to name your character "Alan" then have the other characters say "Lightning" but still it's something I miss.

I replayed it and actually paid attention to the cut scenes and actually read that Datalog... the story actually made sense..my problem was the Tube feeling of the game. Other than that it was one of the better Final Fantasy stories,Should be a movie.
12 has a great story but you need to talk to people and pay attention to what is going on,most people I see who say 12 has a bad story haven't put enough time into it.

And the knowledge can easily be applied to other gear of your choice. But if you want a comprehensive guide on all the gear and how to upgrade it, then Gamefaqs is probably where you want to go.

Loved the commentary during the gameplay, but the "pointing out the obvious stuff" is really unnecessary during cutscenes...and rather annoying. Other than that, good job!

Terra is an Esper that has been constantly used as a war machine. Without feelings, the girl has killed countless innocence and it's all the Emperor's slave crown. All the girl needed is help from her friends and with their powers, she becomes much courageous and a happy girl.

I have to say, that my least favorite part of FFXIII is how easy it is. You can almost literally auto battle your way through about 90% of the game. And the difficulty spikes drastically for a few of the gestalt battles. They also eliminated a lot of grinding, which strangely enough was something I liked doing in previous titles.
Well, you're not entirely wrong about the Australian accent sounding like a British accent. If my history's correct, Great Britain conquered Australia and used it as a penal colony; where they sent you if you failed to pay your taxes or committed some minorish crime...like no murderers at least. Some people went there freely and eventually Australia was freed from Great Britain. Which is why their accents sound a little similar.

The battling in this game can get pretty fun with the interesting paradigm system, there's countless combinations of which one you want to use, I don't think I've even seen them all yet. It can get complicated and feel too fast, but if I can do it, anyone can, being a girl is like a handicap to playing video games :P jk

i don't understand how the game has the best graphics that I've seen for a video game but when i play other games that have came out recently, graphics look crappy in comparison..

They can jump so gigh because they'd trained for it, and in Japan It's very common to do martial arts and learn how to fly and getting to know all kind of cool techniques and develop themselves really really well.
I love your FFXIII LP. But what device do you use to record in HD? The reason I'm asking is I want to one day record a game in HD, and the quality in this is really good!
This is an example of a game that shows how I think next gen consoles like ps4, maybe not Wii U will have cg powered graphics and there will be no difference from graphics of an fmv and the actual gameplay.
As a Final Fantasy veteran, who is is still madly in love with FFVII, i couldn't help but notice how horrifyingly similar that first fight scene is to Cloud and Barret's first fight scene against the Scorpion Tank. Vets, correct me if i'm wrong here, LoL! Still,this game is absolutely gorgeous. My favorite title now is FFXII, I love the crafting system, and the Gambits were excellent for sneaking and playing at work, muaahahahaaa!!! I will be adding this title to my library as well..

Don't worry i enjoyed FF13 aswell. The battle system is so fun and it felt challenging. Love the characters and story aswell :D FF12 is my least favourite sadly because of the lack of character interaction and a good story. I also didn't enjoy the battle system as for me FF is about turn based/ATB.
@lnclincoln Because everything about this FF game is almost entirely different from every previous FF game and all the FF fanboiz are QQing like lil bitches coz they can't adapt as time goes on and the game industry changes and moves forward so they get left behind in the corner crying. Is that force feild that they crash into one of those barriers that some of the cieth stones have? But would they have those on Cocoon? That just came to me because I just did the first mission that has one of those.
I heard mixed reactions of this game but I also heard mixed reactions of FFX and I really like that and from what I've seen this looks like a really good game. I've seen a couple flaws in it but that's it for stuff I didn't like
@gamewalker100 It really doesn't matter which game to get. Final Fantasy is all different settings like, characters, story, worlds, battle system, and the music. Therefore for example, "I got Final Fantasy NES, then I got Final Fantasy II for NES (Japanese version). You can tell, everything is different. The first FF game I got is for the GBA. I got FFVI then got FFVII for PSone and everything is different.
Plus, I don't have all of them. I like certain FF games. I liked FF1 (Virtual Console Wii), FF IV (DS), FF V (Emulated), FF VI (GBA), FF VII (PS) FF VIII (PSone classic which is OKAY...), FF IX (PSone classic), and finally FF XIII (PS3) I like all of them, but like HC said, "I"m not a huge fan of FF X or XII." I tried them and I didn't like the settings at all. But whatever you like, explore different adventures, stories, and I say good luck! :)

I have to say, that my least favorite part of FFXIII is how easy it is. You can almost literally auto battle your way through about 90% of the game. And the difficulty spikes drastically for a few of the gestalt battles. They also eliminated a lot of grinding, which strangely enough was something I liked doing in previous titles.

Well, you're not entirely wrong about the Australian accent sounding like a British accent. If my history's correct, Great Britain conquered Australia and used it as a penal colony; where they sent you if you failed to pay your taxes or committed some minorish crime...like no murderers at least. Some people went there freely and eventually Australia was freed from Great Britain. Which is why their accents sound a little similar.

The battling in this game can get pretty fun with the interesting paradigm system, there's countless combinations of which one you want to use, I don't think I've even seen them all yet. It can get complicated and feel too fast, but if I can do it, anyone can, being a girl is like a handicap to playing video games :P jk

This is an example of a game that shows how I think next gen consoles like ps4, maybe not Wii U will have cg powered graphics and there will be no difference from graphics of an fmv and the actual gameplay.

As a Final Fantasy veteran, who is is still madly in love with FFVII, i couldn't help but notice how horrifyingly similar that first fight scene is to Cloud and Barret's first fight scene against the Scorpion Tank. Vets, correct me if i'm wrong here, LoL! Still,this game is absolutely gorgeous. My favorite title now is FFXII, I love the crafting system, and the Gambits were excellent for sneaking and playing at work, muaahahahaaa!!! I will be adding this title to my library as well..

Don't worry i enjoyed FF13 aswell. The battle system is so fun and it felt challenging. Love the characters and story aswell :D FF12 is my least favourite sadly because of the lack of character interaction and a good story. I also didn't enjoy the battle system as for me FF is about turn based/ATB.

@lnclincoln Because everything about this FF game is almost entirely different from every previous FF game and all the FF fanboiz are QQing like lil bitches coz they can't adapt as time goes on and the game industry changes and moves forward so they get left behind in the corner crying. That's the short version :D I love this game tbh it's the only FF game i can stand finishing.

@gamewalker100 It really doesn't matter which game to get. Final Fantasy is all different settings like, characters, story, worlds, battle system, and the music. Therefore for example, "I got Final Fantasy NES, then I got Final Fantasy II for NES (Japanese version). You can tell, everything is different. The first FF game I got is for the GBA. I got FFVI then got FFVII for PSone and everything is different.

Plus, I don't have all of them. I like certain FF games. I liked FF1 (Virtual Console Wii), FF IV (DS), FF V (Emulated), FF VI (GBA), FF VII (PS) FF VIII (PSone classic which is OKAY...), FF IX (PSone classic), and finally FF XIII (PS3) I like all of them, but like HC said, "I"m not a huge fan of FF X or XII." I tried them and I didn't like the settings at all. But whatever you like, explore different adventures, stories, and I say good luck! :)
