Extreme Couponing: How to find coupons from your Recycling Center!

Do you have to call ahead or sign anything? What is the protocol/etiquette for this? Also, would we search town recycling centers? There are many showing up in my listing that are specific to steel or garbage pickups....

Ok but how do you get into the recycling center? most people don't even know where there center is at, let alone how to get in there and get free reign over their goods. Wouldn't it be easier to go to the local newspaper dispenser and wipe out their supply of sunday papers for the price of one paper?

I went to the recycling center today here and the box was gone!!!!!  UGH!!! I'm so depressed.........sorry. just had to vent. Maybe next time. Lol.

I swore I would never do this, but I did it today and scored a huge stack of inserts! They were essentially sitting on top! I am going to take a pair of gloves with me next time and maybe an old shirt. The sides of the recycling bins are kinda grody and got my shirt a little dirty. I do feel very self conscience about being "that lady" who is sifting through the recycling but I can't describe the feeling of satisfaction of scoring about 20 inserts ea of RP, PG and SC all for free!

What i don't get is how they have cardboard boxes for newspapers. Does it not rain there? you would think the papers and boxes would get all wet and how can a recycle center recycle wet papers.

It sucks because here in Baltimore, you wouldn't want to be out digging in a recycling center. I dont even know if we have one...stupid city

are you just looking for the booklets themselves when u are looking through those piles?? cause at 3:47 i see a save .75 on Colgate it looks like from SS a couple weeks back and you threw it in the next box!! just wondering?

If you don't get your coupons in your paper, call your local paper and let them know. I didn't get them one day and I called and I was able to go by and pick them up. :) Just a thought. Hope it helps.

Our local recycling center isn't like this. The newspapers go into big metal bins with small openings where u can drop in your papers, so there would be no way to access them once someone put them in, These bns are huge, i can barely reach the opening to put my recycle stuff in

That's a nice box dumpster! Ours have small holes to stick the papers through, so it's hard to see inside, much less reach in for anything.
