  • Great film! Talking about draft dodgers! America elected one as President for two terms!

He spent the the whole of the Vietnam War being a hopeless drunk on Texas bar room floors! George W.Bush!!!!

  • One of the best movies ever filmed. I remember my dad watching this on TBS every time it aired. I bought him the soundtrack on CD for Christmas several years ago, as well as a copy for myself. Excellent movie, excellent music.

  • Howdy Lucas, Like "sjgorek", this was one of The Duke's best films. John Wayne and Maureen O'hara simply fantastic together. Thanks for posting. Lenny

  • No horses, uniforms or guns but by far the best of all the Dukes films!

  • Where can you get this original soundtract? Not the one on Amazon, it is a remake and the couple of vocals are not the original.

The original vocals and songs is what made the movie what it was.

    Thanks for posting

    Bobby...

  • "He'll regret it to his dying day if ever he lives that long!"

  • The best movie of all for me, everybody in exactly the right character, must have watched it hundreds of times over the years, although in me earlier years always thought Victor was an irishman, thanks for posting this all the best Steve.

  • This is definitely one of my favorite all time movies.

  • This is true.I gave Maureen O hara a peck on the cheek on her visit to Easons in Dublin when she was there to promote her book.Would have to check out some photos taken on the day but it must have been around 2004.I always loved the film so to meet the lady was just lovely.

  • An amazing song and film. Thank you!!

  • please could you download with the movie scenes. thank you very much.

  • Victor Young may have arranged this piece but he did not compose it.

''The Isle of Innisfree'' was composed by Dick Farrelly from Kells ,County Meath , Ireland.

  • Good to know. Guess I need to get more studied up on this one.

  • @tonyl1974 thats true tony he was very freindly with my granda he was in the garda same as dick was seeminly in dublin well spotted mate

  • I think John Williams some of this when he did 1941 some notes I hear seem familiar to that score.

  • The rambunctious part of the score you recognized from this film and William's score for the film "1941" come from a traditional Irish tune called "The Rakes of Mallow."
