  • 2) You stated that you no longer accept bids from those with "0" feedback. I can definitely understand your reasoning. I must ask, however, what about someone such as me? If I bid on something right now I would have "0" feedback and, though I don't expect you to take my word for it, I AM an honest person. What do you propose in order for delivery and payment verification and investigation of negative feedback? I firmly support the "thump them severely about the head and shoulders" method.

  • Thank you for your info and feedback concerning your experiences with E-bay. It will definitely assist me in my attempt to begin something for my family. I do have 2 concerns. 1) Are you speaking of ALL sellers coming together or primarily the power sellers? What safeguards would be in place to protect the small sellers against possible unfair advantages from power sellers in a position within E-bay? .......cont......

  • I had about 900 feedbacks, went on vacation, and got hit with about 20 bad feedbacks ina month, and some of these buyers were making these accusations that were so far from the truth you are blind to not see it. I mean even something so obvious as of lieing in the feedback about 3 weeks when it really took about 6 days.

  • I just got banned from these deadbeats.

  • I am a seller but not a powerseller cause I'm not selling for company's that ship the item for me so it cost me more money than you, but I will say that ebay does not care at all about any of their sellers. I had a person keep my collectable item & had her credit card company get her money back and ebay let her keep my item and she is still on there and still buying!

  • eBay removes unwarranted Neg feedback especially when left by a non paying bidder. Being able to Neg a buyer with zero feedback doesn't in itself remove the seller's Neg feedback or help in the seller in any other way and wouldn't make any difference to a zero fb deadbeat buyer. eBay knows all about feedback abuse and that's why they put this plan into action.

  • @BWcapture The seller can't be warned ahead of time, because he won't see the buyer's feedback until after the auction and then it's too late if the buyer is a deadbeat. The buyer's feedback won't mean squat if the buyer doesn't pay up. It's not like you can demand to see buyers feedback before they can bid. If they don't pay, they don't pay and the seller has to relist. eBay terminates deadbeat buyer accounts. eBay protects buyers and sellers very well these days.

  • @rexorrama Sorry, you misunderstood. I was talking from a sellers point of view, not a buyers.

  • @BWcapture Sorry, you misunderstood. I've sold hundreds of items on eBay going back 10 years, so I was indeed speaking from a seller's point of view. In my experience, most good sellers leave Positive feedback immediately upon receipt of payment, and manage to maintain a100% Positive feedback score (like me). I guess that's why this policy doesn't bother me. To that, my being able to Neg a buyer won't remove the Neg he left me. It won't make him pay me. So I just don't see the point, sorry.

  • @rexorrama even though I'm a seller I have bought from people & the last time I bid & bought 8 items & I sent her an email asking if she would combine the shipping she would not answer so after all she made me pay 10$ a piece for shipping & then sent them together in 1 box. She gained almost $60 dollars & when I called & spoke to a manager he hung up on me, so I've seen it from both sides, as long as ebay is getting their money thats all they care about,THE END! everyone needs to work on get out

  • Yep. Ebay is killed by stupid ebay execs, buyers who don't pay & scamming whores like that white trash fat bitch on Judge Judy.

  • I have 6 positive feedback because half the people I buy from dont leave feedback for me. Some Asian dude tried to scam me.

  • You get my vote! Some cheapskate buyer wants cheaper shipping, conditions are that buyer accepts responsibility for loss or damage! Item doesn't arrive, ebay refunds arbitrarily without any recourse for me! They ignore all statements that their action is in breach of trading standards legislation! They don't care! Customer service???? It is an absolute disgrace!!!!!!!

  • check out bonanza, blujay , ecrater , they are free , dont stuck only with ebay , ebay doesnt care their sellers, our policy nothing for them, my account limited with the %100 + feedback, just because of my husband account was suspended because of the paypal

  • craigslist is where its at. no fees and no scams when you deal face to face.

  • KNOCK EM DEAD CRAZY NY DRIVER!!!!!!!! LA.B24

  • ive had about 20 zero bidders & they have come good & never looked back,

i mean they have to start somewhere ,

but any dud buyer gives me the grief ,,well i go thru the process ,get me listing fees etc all back & then i will add them to me "BLOCKED BUYERS LIST"

thats the best way i reckon

  • "I CAN HEEEARRRRRR YOUUUU"

  • Just don't accept bids from bidders with zero feedback

  • How do you expect me to get feedback without buying anything? With someone like you in control - I'll scrap Ebay. You need to swallow a bit of pride, treat people with respect, take the odd loss, re-post the item, and wait for people like me to bid. I don't have an account but if I ever bid - I know what I'm bidding on - trust me. Welcome to our critical world and don't be so shocked anymore.

  • Hey Nice Video

One Question Though: Has a Person with Zero Feedback who has bid on your Item Actully Paid for a item u sold?

    Cheers,

  • I'm curious what your suggestion is to allow new legit users who have zero feedback to use eBay without being stereotyped as slackers? Maybe an optional escrow account for new users who want to bid and the seller can then see that they have adequate funds in that account to cover the purchase. Make it optional and it might only require a small deposit depending on what they are buying. Or even an option for sellers to prohibit bidders w/less than X number of feedbacks to bid on their items?

  • lol dude u are hilarious. nice vid. i have a question though. I bought an item and it was a different item that was in the picture. Should I give them negative feedback?

  • @JoshMamaLosh03 you should contact him first and give him a chance to make it right first, but if the pic was misleading or bogus he was wrong and should be dealt with

  • @crazeenydriver ..great answer and advise, ty!

  • I dont know too much about selling on ebay but I know exactly why they are making it harder for people to sustain themselves.............

  • Wow…I would love to believe you. buyers don't pay for ebay….that's true if I believe that you don't calculate the fees of ebay in the selling price. Everybody knows there are no free lunch in this world and no body sell for no profit even in auction.

  • LIKE YOUR VIDEOS!!

  • I left selling on Ebay 3-4 years ago, for all the reasons you listed. As long as the buyers keep getting a good deal, no matter how raw the seller's deal - people will continue to buy. It's supply and demand. To really get ebay's attention and make changes you must be willing to WALK AWAY. Instead of an AdHoc Group to get a job, pool together, buy stock and get a rep on the Board of Directors - or better yet - a takeover......

  • Great video ,

Lets get together and do something about it !

    I will do my part!

  • I reckon 10% of my purchases are on ebay, if that. While ebay may be the be and end all for some, for most of us it's just another site to browse when buying. If sellers have such a raw deal on ebay they should set up their own web site and sell from there. If sellers don't want to do that it must be because ebay is giving them something they need. Well, if that's the case, then sellers will just have to put up with ebay's conditions.

  • Just had a none payer leave a neg. I have had it with eBay!

  • Ebay needs to go down hard, im done, they can take the seller fee's i owe them and shove them up their asses. Their customer service is a complete joke. My boycott of ebay starts now.

  • Kreyzi nu yok driva. LOLZ!!!

  • This is true..NOW You have to deal with buyers who buy and want a partial credit and or a free item bc they will find any flaw to bitch about

  • Non-payment is such a non-problem I really don't know why your complaining. All you do is file for a non-paid item credit and re-list.

The customer is always right. This is a lesson many ebayer sellers forget, if they ever learned it in the first place. I've had many items that weren't paid for, but I get my FVF credits and remain grateful that ebay was there when I was looking at an eviction notice 5 yrs ago with no jobs in sight.

  • i've never used ebay before. My account is at 0% in everything. I did bet in like 3 itmes but I was very careful since Ebay said I would be in a legally binding contract, but I didn't know I could bid, win, and not pay w/o anything happen to me lol. Of course, I am an honest person and I wouldn't do that. - Great video sir.

  • People still buy and sell on eBay? Last time I did a transaction there was about 8 years ago.

  • it's sept 1 2010 and ebay has gotten WORSE!!!!!!!!!

  • THATS AGENST THE 1st AMENDMENT ASSHOLE E-BAY

  • all sellers are out their for their own self interest so trust me, your plan is on def ears, by the way not letting people with 0% feedback not bid is a revolutionary idea...

my thinking would be competing sellers would be the only ones taking the time to sabotage other sellers not random roaming psychopaths...

  • I've got a better option in mind. I'm not a power seller myself, and I probably never will be, but why don't you guys form a coalition and start your own site to compete with ebay? You could easily undercut them and run the place in a manner that is fair to both sellers and buyers.

Hell, you could take all the business from people like you that got tired of dealing with ebay's BS.

  • IT is unfortunate that buyers can leave negative feedback and sellers have no recourse for that. However, just because someone has a zero feedback does not mean that most of them are slackers. Everyone has to start at zero. So I totally disagree with that statement, that is a bald faced lie. I don't like ebay and paypal because when I sell something, between paypal and ebay, I am paying between 15 and 20% of the sale item because Paypal charges on the shipping too. not fair.

  • i like your vids but dont cry about retaliatory bids when you have a FAKE ACCOUNT to do just that. I dont care for your reason but 2 wrongs dont make a right. Have you ever thought that those 0 feedbackers are people you negged trying to get payback?

  • I had 100% feedback. Better, stronger, faster ebayer etc as feedback. A buyer bought a Six Million Dollar Man figure in a box, asked for a full refund for it not being as described. He stated it was dirty, very faded and collar ripped. eBay let this buyer have a refund without seeing the item ever. I got a neg for this even though he got a refund. Dirty, very faded and ripped collar.

I video'd myself opening the returned item... see if you can find any dirt, faded areas or ripped collar !!

  • btw this is kinda like youtube. youtube doesn't care about there user's.

  • i just had a non paying bidder leave me a negative feedback for not extending his time to pay me . I have been on ebay for 10 years with over 2500 positive. What kind of shit is this. They wont take it off. So kiss my ass Ebay. And I treat my customers very well . I am not a door mat.

  • @givemegifts ebay sucks, period! ive been a seller on ebay for years and now this! plus ebay is really expensive now. im actually in the process in making a web site to run my business cause ebay has gone to the birds....

  • WOW..This is EXTORTION.!!: Examples that aren't Feedback extortion

A buyer says he or she will leave negative Feedback or low detailed seller ratings (DSRs) unless the seller accepts a return and pays for return shipping.

A buyer says he or she will leave negative Feedback or DSRs unless the seller gives a full or partial refund for an item.

A buyer feels the shipping costs are too high and says he or she will leave negative Feedback or DSRs unless the seller lowers the shipping costs.

  • can't get a neg UNLESS you FAIL to report the non payment. If you file a claim and give a strike, then you're safe...

  • you are right, ebay dont give shit to seller, fuck ebay

  • Stupid dick

Anyone who doesnt pay u can dispute and they will be punished after three reports

    thick americans

  • kids are starving in third world countries and you are bitching about ebay?

  • Take away a New Yorkers platform for bitching? You're breaking my heart. "I'm a power seller!" Advice for you Mr Power Seller... treat your customers well, and you'll be fine.

  • Ebay got rid of the negative feed back to sellers because of what this guy was talking about, but backwards,

what tended to happen was big sellers would get buyers with little feedback, then if the buyer had any kind of complaint, the big seller would simply say that if the buyer kept complainin, he would leave HIM negative feedback. Sure the buyer could ALSO leave negative feedback, but negative feedback on someone who has less then 30 stars looks WAY worse then it does on someone who has 35000

  • Screw Ebay. I closed my accounts.

  • becuase of some unfair policy's we not only we a lot of small business left ebay in UK.

Check out a great ebay alternative auction website in our videos.

  • Damn right, people do this to me, most of my bad feedback is from people with less than 10 feedback. They really should not allow non payments to leave bad feedback, or even people with less than 5 feedback, or even more than that.

  • well too bad

that is what u get for placing urself at the mercy of corporate.

they r GIANT u will NEVER win.

  • It's true, one mentally unstable woman bid up everything I had for a months straight... Ebay stopped resetting my listings and let her go on her crazytown way, no suspension or anything.

  • lol wow

  • one guys is selling a bobble-head dog for $3.00...another guy is selling it for $5.00.

The guy selling for $5.00 says to himself, hey, screw that other guy, I'll bid on his dog for $10.00.

Bidders avoid the other auction, and buy the one for $5.00.

The seller who won the $10.00 bid refuses to pay the competitor, and he screws him over on both the auction and the sale of his dog.

  • it means you can bid on competitor's items to jack up their price, and sell yours, and not worry about the consequences.

  • God this is foolish. If the person doesn't pay you simply relist the item, or give the option for immediate payment on your item.

  • listing items costs money. Frivolous assholes who bid and don't pay, end up costing the seller several DOLLARS when they don't pay up, relisting costs money.

  • How do you even sell anything on eBay in the first place? I've been trying for a month and have gotten no where.

eBay is a shit Web site period.

  • Keep up the great work.

  • I used to use ebay and paypal sold only a handfull of itemsand found out they could suspend your account with no notice paypal can do the same as well sold a printer for 2500 and tryed to get my money paypal placed a hold on my account and requested some docs so i complyed but they did not release my money had to contact the buyer to see if they would send me a check if i refund the money lucky for me the buyer was a nice guy. i will never use ebay or paypal again

  • As a soon to be FORMER seller on eBay - I F-ing HATE HATE HATE ebay.

People have been ripping me off and I can't stand up for myself.

    WTH??? Ugh.

  • I think its a shame that most of the people who give opinions on ebay are the people hwo have had some sort of problem. These people are in a tiny minority but often claim to speak for the many.

  • Since the changes came in I actually got less negs & neuts but more buyers coming to me to resolve problems instead of just leaving feedback. Only once did this happen and that was due to an idiot who negs without contact for anything & everything, and wouldve been able to return a neg have done any good? Not really. The predicted horror stories about buyers holding sellers to ransom all the time just didnt materialise.

What can I say, i learnt to move with ebays changes and ebay works for me.

  • Man, you are right on the money. I signed up with eBay in 2003 and had it good for a couple of years. Then I noticed a change where eBay started dickin the sellers. I tried other auction sites but it's like hearing crickets at midnight on them. You just don't get the traffic. eBay knows they are the shit when it comes to that so what do you do? I've subscribed to your channel because you have a lot of stuff that's right on man. Keep up the good work!

  • You could just do away with the whole ebay system by waiting for bidsellbuy to go live soon... ever try bonanzal either?

  • broh that's racist, how am i gonna get feedbacks if i don't buy? .... of course there are some jackass people... but there are few good pp...

  • We knew you were from the northeast crazeenydriver ,from your accent. :P

"I need a quata for a cup ov cuafee"

NY accents are cool, when your a Texan.

  • Horsemanreturns, this is exactly what I have been thinking! This is the only way to end this battle in my opinion. I am a casual seller since 1998, and now on unemployment, however I would gladly buy into a seller organized site (But the people running it would have to be the best of the best, not rip off artists like ebay). I have it on good word Ebay will be bankrupt by 2010, so why not start this now! If anyone knows of any such movement please let me know!!

  • well, we just wanted to make sure you are a genuine seller, this is happening to me, with 100% positive feedback, what will happen if i had 98 or 99 ??

they need to respect our business, this will kill ebay in less than 3 years.

  • your totally right. i am a seller on eBay, and you don't want to know what i have been through. the least thing happened was suspending my account twice without any notice for me. they needed some docs, so they said lets suspend the account first then we ask for what we need, the reason was,

  • Yep, ebay has certainly made it a buyers arena, sorta... I bought a 50 dollar item from some asshole in canada. it was a custom item, it was fucked up so I wanted to return it, ebay said ok return it. I went to mail it (ebay insisted on a confirmation number) fucking post office was 5 to mail it so i would have gotten my 50 for the item but not the shipping..lesson, dont buy from another country unless you are willing to eat the return shipping and customs bullshit.

  • lol as if leaving negative feedback is how you get things taken care of on ebay. you use the resolution center if they dont pay you, put in a claim, their account gets suspended if you dont resolve it.

  • You need to fix your instructions from the other YouTube video. The way it's set up, I get the cheezy music, then click on the link then the music stays and it makes all of our computers crash. Thanks a LOT!

  • i wont pay 100$ for a mod

  • Ebay don't give a shit about you selling or not.Their money is in their stupid fake ass wholesalers warehouse and e-books.Back when they started before becoming a corporate leviathan they were the place to go.Paypal is just the new mafia basically since its owned by Ebay if you don't play nice paypal will screw you .If one was to start a new auction place like Ebay USED to be ,they would attract alot of sellers and buyers ,especially in this economy.PAY PAL CAN KISS MY WHITE ASS!

  • I can´t believe all the money ebay makes, there fees are outstanding, honestly make I hope there is another sight that cn beat ebay

  • Buy or sell your stuff at: iOFFER

  • Thats a good sight also, thanks,

  • ebay is expensive, thats very bad about that sellers can´t give feed, back all sellers should go on strike about that, that has been done to me also, I get what your saying,

  • FUCK EBAY AND PAYPAL... Hire Osama He'll set those mothafuckers right in an instant !! blow paypal back to land of bullshit in an instant that is !!

  • That's what i always did! When i buy something i pay for it right away! MY feedback was 100% positive after over a hundred transactions (most of them as a seller). I sold even cars on ebay motors. I was kicked off and i don't work with ebay anymore. There are many other places to sell and buy online, much better than ebay. I really hope that ebay will go down asap !

  • i have started a new online auction BIDONLOTS COM now you can leave negative feedback for buyers, you can pay with cheques, postal order, bank transfer,if you want to use aucpay which is my new online payment system you can but you wont be forced into doing do, bidonlots is free listings and just 1% end of auction fee,my intention to rival ebay and to try and get all to move out of the bay into my harbor, this new auction site will be carefully monitored for conmen and scammers BIDONLOTS COM

  • Your site sucks balls. Put all that time into it for nothing. Your a failure. And stop trying to copy ebays website and at least come up with your own shit.

  • well there are more ppl buying right now so thats why but getting a power seller in a chair would be good

  • yes but on the other side there were lots of sellers especially power sellers who got too big for there boots and wouldnt refund , sold shoddy stuff bad comms etc etc then would leave bad feedback out of malicious spite if a buyer complained by leaving neg feedbak...plus ALL ebayers Have to be a zero feedbac when they first start, btw you sound like a typical wah wah im a power seller ebay owes me blah bla , you have even made a video, I have been ripped off by power sellers .see da big pic

  • So. If i have a zero feedback, you want me not to be able to bid on virtualy no auction on ebay! And if i try to sell something to make feedback score, nobody will trust to buy from a zero feedback user! So how it's supposed to work?

  • Ever thought of purchasing and paying for it right away?

  • Nice to see you speek so clearly. I think by handcuffing the sellers ebay shows that they are loosing it bigtime. And I am sure they didn´t do it without going through tons of scenarios. To me its like saying " sorry guys, we have to let go, we cannot handle it, nice meeting you" But may be there will be some new people creating a new system with appropriate control. Anyone who can produce confidence has won already.

  • shame you cant start a new 'ebay'. I think there are others but none have the brand stamped in the public mind like ebay does. Ask most people about an action site and ebay is almost always the first one that comes to mind. Unless everyone left ebay then I think ebay has power to pretty much do as it wants.

  • I'm new as a seller, and is really hard to keep up with all the rules, regulations and yes FEEs. Is like they are doing their best to get rid of the sellers. Is there any other auction site?

  • Freedom of speech is one thing, but ebay is not a dictatorship, it's just an online company and therefore you have the freedom of choice whether to join up or not.

  • Try selling on eBay as a career and maybe you'll change your mind.

I wanna call you an asshole, but I try to be nice.

  • Get yourself a proper job! ebay was never ever intended for people to make careers out of. Nobody is forcing you to sell on ebay. It's your choice. If you can't stand the heat, then get out of the kitchen.

  • Good, then we all will leave eBay and let it fail.

  • Well, I'm an eBay buyer and I'm totally new to eBay please don't block me if i ever bid on your items, i do pay up for the items i want, and i do not want many.

  • Don't get me wrong, I'm not stcking up for ebay but what gives you the fucking right to to be sounding off about ebay? Nobody is forcing you or anybody else to use ebay. It's your choice. If you don't like their terms and conditions of use then Don't use ebay. Simple as that.

  • Unfortunately, in the early days of bay, bad sellers were getting punch-drunk, scamming the buyers. Nero (ebay) fiddled, while Rome (the buyers) burned. Ebay was asleep at the wheel for so long on this, that when they did finally decided: "we need to do something", to make up for lost time (and opportunity) ebay did a complete turn-about. They started to concider all sellers "villans", and literally gave the buyers, the keys to the kingdom. Now we sellers (ebay's cash cows) hand's are tied-

  • Awesome video, I agree the feedback system has to be revised it's the Sellers who make EBay there money they should start protecting our integrity. Thanks for post this.

  • Thanks for reposting this Joe. :)

  • Ditto :)

  • Joe this was my favorite Video you ever made, I sent it to everyone and plastered it all over the eBay chat boards and e-mailed it to everyone I knew. This video was perfect to help me grieve, just because of the ending! You have to email me a copy of the original because I treasure it! Too bad people are so full of hate that they can't leave others free speech alone!!!~~~Linda

  • I agree something needs to be done, but cancelling bids of zero feedback buyers does not work if they bid in the last 3 seconds. I feel a better route would be to get all sellers to completely boycott the feedback system. I have only left a couple feedbacks since June of 2008. The only power we have as sellers is to not legitamize the system. Our feedback of buyers makes them legitimate on the eBay site, so if no body is getting legitimized any more, the some changes will have to be made.

  • welcome back1 hope you have an awesome year.

  • Hi Joe! We need some more videos about ebay. Are you still selling there?

  • I only bought on Ebay, but I don't like the new policy because I had one day hoped to sell. I just don't like PayPal.I only paid with Money Orders.

  • i remember this video. this is what made me suscribe to you. i dont think its fair when a buyer doesnt pay we cant give them a negitive. i was left a unfair negitive because the buyer didnt get the item. they found out it was stolen and wanted to take my negitive off. i sent them the link to undo it and they said they never got it. i told ebay my problem and they said theres nothing they can do. i havent sold since on ebay. i like your videos because you tell it like it is.

  • I can't believe the one year anniversary of the death of eBay is almost here. The "no negative" feedback is why I haven't been active on eBay since May 19, 2008. Way to go CRAZY NY DRIVER! Thanks for revisiting this video with us all.
