there are some more modern bands and artists out there that are still good. Tarja Turunen and Christina Aguilera both have a nice voice and some very good songs, and producers like Hans Zimmer (neo classic) and Hybrid (progressive electronic stuff) make music that's simply epic. I'd say they are at least as good as Queen, however, maybe not as legendary :) But stil thousand times better than mainstream pop music. Bruno Mars maybe mainstream as well - but ever seen him live? that guy is amazing
