I met Ray in Cardiff RFC and introduced myself to him. He made me feel that it was a pleasure for him to meet me. He was a good man and a great Welshman.
I would say to his children "your father was in so many ways; a great man".
And although he has passed on ;he still lives in the memories and the hearts of his fellow countrymen (and women)
And along with the names of other great Welshmen the mountain streams will babble and the deep moving rock of the mountains will groan forever' as welsh as cawl; the name of Ray Gravell
fine,fine man,llanelli should be proud

Grav, 12 September 1951 – 31 October 2007. will ever be remembered. Taken too soon, by being struck with health.
Many people say, as me, you should have taken me instead.
