@1ceB0xxx You've got to play it yourself to really experience it. And don't worry, when your futher in game you'll probablly unwillingly get all personal with the monsters sooner or later. :)

Alright! I already thought F.E.A.R. was kinda scary when it came out, but dame!! I had the ability to slow down time and a vast amount of weapons at my disposal. This is a thousand times as dark and I don´t even have a gun or magical abilities?

his game inst scary because of seeing the mosnters after you its like the adreneline, you see a moster and you trap the door and wait that could be scary.

and running away from them while looking behind isnt scary eighter its the fact that you dont know whats coming next so you hesitate, some people turn of the headphones before entering a door. Most of horror games fail making the stuff that arent scary and rarely put the ones that realy do. that´s why this game kicks ass.because it has them

I think what makes a horror game ( and a movie of course ) is the sound.

Sound in this game is marvelous, they did pretty good fucking job. I mean, you can even hear yourself in the game panicing :/

this game is very frightening, the feeling of just being helpless without a weapon while at the same time having to think and find clues etc is very real compared to F.E.A.R. where you can just blow any scary shit up.

@DevilVlad93 Try the Penumbra series, it's awesome. Then perhaps the first F.E.A.R.? (But it's more action game). Try this one as well: Condemned: Criminal Origins (I liked it too, found it a bit similar to F.E.A.R. in the beginning, but it's an overall nice game). After that... Cryostasis (more of a puzzle game, but still a wonderful game!). I love these games, but I can't play them too much - my poor heart won't last long if I do xD - it's the only kind of game I have to play bit by bit.
