Even when he was talking about Lauren he was just saying she is real character, and eve said he doesn't have enough nice things to say about her. You can see he wants a plain hometown girl as he repeatedly has said. He also said he doesn't want the one with all make-up and high heels. which is Lauren. Scotty wants his normal life, a country boy, Lauren wants fame .

I really wish people would stop asking about the kiss. Lauren warned Scotty that she would probably kiss him if he won and both have said time and time again that they are just friends. Just because she kissed him does not mean they're dating! It was a sweet congratulatory (I hope that's the right word) kiss. He's totally cute so I don't blame her for planting one on him!
