I got this game on steam. i downloaded it but then when i pressed play, all it did was say that i was in game for a few seconds, then go back to online. any ideas on how to fix?

I saw it was on sale on steam and I said "lol EDF, dat cheesy game." I now am a major fan, IT IS THE MOST UNDERRATED GAME EVER! I have had hours of fun just taking a minigun and triple rocket launcher and beating millions of bugs, robots, and ROBOT BUGS to death with bullets. Note: If you are saying, this game does not look that good, IT IS. It is also on sale on steam for like 7 bucks so get it now :3

I the first game, but the people talking about the "variety" of levels on the last one are crazy lol... Basically you had city, linear caves, mountains and beaches... All of them looked the exact same so basically there was no variety... This is an improvement over the last game... Better vehicle controls, "variety" in classes... Only thing I can knock this game on is I wish it was longer, but they do give you campaign remix and survival mode... It's a good game

The total enemy count seems to be drastically reduced as compared to the original, which to be honest kind of defeats the purpose of the game.

I'm fascinated and kind of annoyed to be honest with this propensity the game industry has of completely ruining perfectly good games/concepts in trying to appeal to the masses.

I'm really not seeing that here, and I think its either because porting it to two consoles posed some serious problems, or they were afraid children were going to cry about the "bad graphics" and wouldn't buy the game.

@TheBearlydeloved I agree with you. The focus on graphics harmed the overall experience of insect armagedon, a clear exemple how graphic whores are damaging the gaming industry. The linearity of the game to make it more "cinematic" or plain easy annoys me (smaller cenarios, "invisible" walls, go point A to point B...). And what is worse: the game is getting better reviews and sales than the previous game, although EDF 2017 clearly has more content, complexity and overall enjoyment.

EDF was actually for the PS2, it was ported to the 360 with less content.

But still, I'm glad my PS3 can play it now.

EDF 2017, the third game in the series, was exclusive to the Xbox 360. It was not a port, as it had unique levels, different enemy designs, and a different story.
