@jonesgerard really it all depends...if the motors were omc fchhts...then more chances yea...if brp, and properly maintained and had the right fixes.....you got yourself a strong fuel effiencent 2 stroke ....i have a 175 on a 18.5 seaswirl with 300 hours. its an 01 model so this was after omc and its a beast plus sips gas compared to other 2 strokes
@lam0627 I was just talking to a guy on iBoats dot com who has a ficht that needs 2 injectors and a fuel pump, dealership quoted him $2500 estimate. If you have the software and a laptop, plus the service book its one thing, if you have to pay for repairs the motor is best parted out when the estimates come in.
When they run they're great, problem is when they need work.
My johnson 150hp (1994) GUZZLES fuel but its very easy to work on. I can buy a lot of gas for $2500.
