@thedoorsbiggestfan I said I was still flying the same heli two years later... I didn't say I was still flying it tail in. Check out the latest on my channel.
That looks like fun. It sure is smooth. How much different was the DX 6 over the stock TX? I here a good TX makes a lot of difference. Also they are a lot more sensitive unless you tone it down some.
Looks like a good kit to get after salvaging the remains of a Belt-CP. I still have my original version Belt-CP that was purchased about 3 yrs. ago. Still brand new and sitting in storage. Hope to fly it this summer.
I took the old pinion off, using a pinion puller. The I got an 11T from HeliDirect. Go to Motor Pinions > 300 Class > Rhino Ultra Hardened Steel Pinion 11T 2.3mm. That pinion is longer than the stock one - it will work fine.
If you are using the $39.00, you should try to change it to aluminum grips, trust me, you will see a huge difference, I was really disspointed, almost drop it on the trash can. Ive tried 11 and 12 tooth, but for me 13 tooth worked a lot better. Go see my videos. Those $5.00 are really good.
I actually have an aluminum head and tail sitting on my desk to put on. I was going to wait until I crashed and broke the head, but one of my friends told me to, "do yourself a favor and put the metal head on." So, I'm anxious to see how it flies!
I know a lot of guys use $40 cyclic servos, but at $4/ea, I'm happy with the tower pros. I haven't had a problem with them and they're plenty fast.
im thinking of getting an exi 450 an putting the guts of the belt cp v2 but i have a problem i have a vid that explains it ,its the only one ......i want to know which parts i can use to put on my ei 450 kit thats coming on dec.15

Looking good only thing I would replace ASAP is that Esky ESC those things are well known to burn&smoke causing crash if in mid flight.
I used Esky stuff on my EXI build and one was the Esky 25A ESC it caught fire one day luckily was on spin up and not mid flight.
Can get a 30A Exceed ESC for $17

I mean, those $4.00 servos are incredibly good on cyclic.

Are you using the Esky 3800kv motor?
CJVideoProductions in reply to osyhaz (Show the comment) 2 years ago
whats your complete setup?
servos, esc? I have a BeltCPv2, and an EXI450 from a long time ago, havent flown the EXI yet.
Also have the DX6i mix.
My scroll wheel broke (inside), so be careful not to push to hard on that thing. :)
Nice Vid, and good flyin, keep it up.
Cheers,
X

My setup is in the sidebar. Hopefully I'll get some more flying videos up soon, but with winter approaching, I don't know.
