  • assolutamente no!!!!!!!!

  • Maybe Paul Rodgers can't sing like Freddie...but, damn...he's Paul Rodgers form Free and Bad Company...one of my favourite singers ever...he's amazing and he did a great work.

  • Fucking hell man. Any one of these guys blows more talent into a handkerchief than anyone who has come along in the past ten, maybe twenty years could ever dream of having.

  • To sing this song takes 3 humans or one Freddie Mercury.

  • @DieByTheDrop Well actually whenever Queen performed this live it was performed with Roger onBAcking vocals, though it was more of a duet than anything,,,

  • I think Queen should do more gigs like these to this generation have at least a chance to see queen alive for at least one time.

    R.I.P Freddie...

  • i will admit paul isnt as gd as freddie, but nt many people are, but he does the job pretty well

  • Paul Rodgers can sing anything and will ROCK YOU! OMG he is so amazing, great team up with Queen.

  • Brian May is so amazing. I respect this band with everything. Freaking A.M.A.Z.I.N.G

  • I love this song.

  • I really think that Freddie will say something like "seriously, my dear (s)....him (paul)???"....but on the other hand...he was happy for Roger and Brian....and sad for the absence of John.

So this is a new Chuck Norris....this fake one...he really looks like an alcoholic....the best example at the song "The show must go on"......OMG....:(

  • @scorpyaforever You really don't know who's Paul Rodgers

  • i think they shoulda just retired the Queen name after freddie departed... paul rodgers doesnt really fit in this

  • como vc fala bobagem (you write chit)

  • wow at 2:35 'cant we give ourselves 1 more chance' etc pauls voice is immense!!!

  • I think Paul Rodgers did a good job here,Freddie would be proud

Btw is that david duchovny at 0:28 :)?

  • Check out Bowie with Gale Ann Dorsey.

    They NAIL this song!

  • No tiene ni la mitad de energia que tenia Freddie......... es alguien irremplazable

  • Ke paso con el Bajista?

  • @Ranametalera

Deacon no los quizo acompañar xD

  • I seem to remember that it was David Bowie that sang this 'Queen' song or perhaps old age is just catching up with me

  • For those of you showing blatand DISRESPECT to John Deacon - there IS such a thing as family and retirement after rock 'n' roll.

The man doesn't owe us fans anything; he had a family to go home to and a dead friend to grieve for.

As far as Deaky was concerned, he'd made a career with Queen, made his mark if music history and it was simply time to go home.

  • P.S it's a fucking disgrace the Brian and Roger had to cover nearly half of their very own lead singers part. Paul simply wasnt capable of this song. Among many others...

  • @Xcorgi It's a sung that is meant to be sung by more than one singer... Most people refer to this as a duet.

  • Joe Lynn Turner from Rainbow would have been a much better fit/choice for Queen. Let's face it. Most all Queen's songs had to be played in a lower key because Paul simply does not have the vocal range and raw power to cover them. Joe Lynn Turner on the other hand is one of the few singers ever to match Freddie's raw power and extreme range. Just check out "Can't Let You Go" by Rainbow to get a sample of Joe's Freddie like range that Paul could NEVER achieve...

  • Please Brian and Roger tour the U.S. Come to NE Ohio.

  • That was suppose to be Queen will always be Queen, n Paul Rodgers is the singer, the voice. No one shall call themselves Queens new frontman, Freddie is gone and must never be replaced! Journey should've NEVER Replaced Steve Perry. That was a SIN.

  • Love the way it's announced: Queen t Paul Rodgers! That's right, Paul is his own and will always be Queen.

  • this is pretty damn impressive for queen without freddie or john :) i'm sure freddie is proud

  • This song makes my heart hot!!

  • John Deacon, where are you? These are the times we would like to see Deaky on that bass

  • Paul Rodgers looks a bit like a white Lionel Richie lol. Obviously nobody can beat Freddie, but Rodgers has done a good job :)

  • Forever Fred :'(

  • Masterful delivery of song meaning and brilliant performance - few notes of reserved feelings explode to wholesome unity between Paul, Brian, Roger. This definitely deserves more Likes - click on it :)

  • is it just me or does Paul Rodgers really suck?

  • @satanaonline Just you period.

  • @satanaonline No its YOU! Paul Rogers was Freddies favorite singer, wankers!

  • @lolangford1 Even if he was (I highly doubt it), it doesn't mean his singing here is any good, Mediocrity is excellent to the eyes of mediocre people.

  • cant believe how well paul rogers has aged - what a paper round he's had, shows ya drugs cant be that bad for ya if u do em in moderation i spose !

  • Sorry Paul, I'm proceeding to QUEEN - Under Pressure (Live on Wembley '86)... I just have to....

  • I bet freddie is looking down with a tear in his eyes and a big smile on his face. He loved his band and would rather see them performing the great songs he made. He knows it means a lot to Brian and Roger, I just wish John was there. Queen fans are the greatest.

  • @wichitacaddo looking down with a tear? down from where? he was cremated, you religious cretin.

  • Sorry Paul Rodgers, you're not even close to Freddie's fabulous voice and stage presense....Queen lost the greatest frontman ever! RIP Freddie <3

  • They should a special appearance by Vanilla Ice.

  • Paul Rodgers is SO sexy. I love him. / Why they didn't tour??

  • I love freddie as much the next person, but he had some horrendous gigs as well.

On most Queen recordings Freddie was pushing his voice to the absolute limit. Even he couldn't re-create it live every night, six nights a week for months of touring. See the 85 tour for proof. He gets nowhere near the notes he hits in the studio.

To expect a 50/60 year old Rodgers to do it is ridiculous. He is his own unique singer and although he doesn't suit all Queen songs his blues edge is great on others.

  • Watch Queen - Under Pressure live in Milton Keynes

  • @Kalabanano I'm with you bro

  • I still have no idea why these two got together... Rodgers is a phenomenal bluesy rock singer. But he's just not capable of singing songs like Under Pressure and Somebody to Love as well as they should be sung. Granted, there isn't a single person that can sing those songs like Freddie, but it's unfair to Paul to even expect him to come close.

  • @angusy27 Actually, Tom Chaplin from Keane gets pretty close with their cover of Under pressure. He's also covered Another one bites the dust and It's a hard life. I think he's the right man to tour with Queen.

  • Ah, good times.

  • I really love Under Pressure with Paul. I saw the first time they did it together, and it was really amazing to see in person. I like the new harmonies they did with Paul, Roger, and Brian all singing.

  • Freddie WAS and IS MUCH MUCH MUCH better than Paul

  • @FreddieMercury1994 freddie was queen!!! paul rodgers was free and bad company...i couldnt watch queen without freddie although i salute paul for doing so...freddie could not have sang in bad company or free as those songs belong to pauls voice...both freddie and paul are and were amazing artists...there is no comparisism both were equally as good as the other...in different ways...

  • Rodgers is a disaster! May and Taylor can sing Queen's songs even better that him.

  • @GiannuzziSavelli couldn't agree more

  • they need 3 people to sing what freddie used to sing

  • Poor guy, to be compared to Freddie is unfair, no one could ever come close to him on stage, nor have the voice he had. Paul is ok, come on, of course he is not Freddie but he is not that bad.

  • @Cuotita Who's comparing him to Freddie? For crying out loud, he's Paul Rodgers. He doesn't need to been compared to anyone.

  • @angelcitydarkroom Everybody is... Read the comments below.

  • I really admire Brian May's commitment to the perm.

  • I enjoyed many of the other Queen + PR performances, but this is one that I didn't care for at all. This song is so unique and it was a little weird hearing Roger try to take on Freddie's distinctive vocal "aaayy op"s that are so much a part of this song. The sharing of the vocals here didn't work for me, but I agree that Brian was brave to take on that falsetto part.

  • I think Brian and Roger would have done a fine job by themselves.I am not saying this in comparison to Freddie(because that would be completely unfair,no one will ever come close)but Paul Rodgers vocals are mediocre at best.

  • Brian & Roger did it FOR THE QUEEN FANS ..... John should have seen it was for FANS that wanted to show love to them ONE LAST TIME .... even Freddie would have seen it that way ..... So Paul ain't that great / at least he knew all the lyrics .... AND I TRULY THINK FREDDIE IS UP THERE SMILIN' & SAYIN' GOOD JOB GUYS ( And John what the hell ?? It was about the MUSIC - not just me ... now get out there & play !! )

  • @anonymousent

I'm pretty sure that at the time, John was caught up caring for his youngest children. So no, he wasn't being selfish.

  • @neilsil John's got money for a nanny to help mom out .... his "kids" were not babies .... and if Freddie was alive - he would have been on that stage ......

  • @anonymousent

Well, Brian and Roger did say John was a family man- maybe he didn't want to leave them or something. I don't know, I'm not John...

  • @anonymousent what you mean paul aint that great? ok freddie was the better show man, rogers is a better singer, singing other peoples songs especially ones who have a different voice range is hard.

  • @02obrienf Paul Rodgers a better singer than Freddie Mercury?? In what alternative universe is that?

  • @anonymousent I agree. John really gave Queen fans the big middle finger after Freddie died.

  • @anonymousent Paul IS great, hes just not trying to copy Freddie, hes doing the song his way. Hes not trying to copy Freddie. I personally love these versions with paul.

  • Brian May and Roger Taylor need to accept the fact that Queen died along with Freddie.as John Deacon once said;there's no point for Queen to continue without Freddie.that's why Queen's bassist didn't go on tour with the band.the band's dead.

  • Non c'è paragone con Freddie : )

  • wow didnt expect roger and brain to sing this as well as paul

  • paul rodgers + queen = Good! I like it

  • its a good version !!!

  • They could have invited David Bowie over for this one :p

  • This song still sends shivers along the spine, even without Freddy Mercury on the mike.

  • Give Brian credit for trying to hit those high notes.

  • Where is freddy mercury? Why is david bowie singing this song alone?

  • @DrBukcake Serious? LMFAO

  • @DrBukcake wtf are you talking about? D:

  • @DrBukcake right...wait wtf?

  • @NurseWeber25 ): I know. I would cry if John showed up in a Q+PR concert.

  • chucha no sabia que chuck norris cantaba tan bien

  • @apuntamimail es que es chuck norris

  • @apuntamimail es chuck norris el hace todo bien jaja

  • @apuntamimail Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!!!!!!

  • this is a good cover-band. Nothing more. Queen were something else...

  • no one can replace freddie :'(

  • When Brian May starts singing, it sounds like it hurts.

  • Mas I lova free and bad company... now he's w/ this queen guys... perfect! no one can replace freddire, but it's great!

  • Fucking awesome!!.

  • Comment removed

  • @billiebug77 YOu gotta look at it from there point of view. They can't just quit when a freind dies they need to carry on in there memory man!

  • viva John Deacon!!!!!!!!!!

  • good to see paul has landscaped that mono brow,

  • Mercury2302 - Your most certainly entitled to your opinion. Even when it's stupid beyond belief. LOL

  • this is like watching a piss poor tribute Band.. Freddie was Queen.. time to give up Brian and Roger...

  • Paul Rodgers doesn't even come close to Freddie Mercury in terms of showmenship

  • Don't forget they're all around 60...I appreciate the effort to sing all along, which made this an original stuff (Bryan faces the microphone and the fans like saying "I'm just trying to do my best) ...it's not easy after all these years to surprise the audience once again so, a little more respect please!

  • wheres john gone????????????

  • the David Bowie version was so much better, because they had two competent singers and Freddie was still there

  • gary mullen is so much better

  • @nicholaswheeler how the hell can you compare a legend of the music business for over 40 years with an impersonator (a bad one at that)!!! you cant bring freddie back and replacing him with a bloke in a leotard and a tash doesnt do anyone any justice

  • Queen without Freddie? There is no such thing. You simply cannot detatch Queen's music from Freddie Mercury. He is Queen's "voice." Some vocalists can be replaced, it's true. But Freddie Mercury? Never!

Horrible choice to reform Queen with ANYBODY. It wasn't as bad a decision for Paul Rodgers as it was for Queen. What the hell were they thinking, touring without Freddie. Ummm, hey guys, let me clue you in on something. Queen died with Freddie! Now let that sink in awhile.

  • @419MadMax "what the hell were hell were they thinking, touring without freddie"...erm dint really get a choice in that one did they!! i love freddie as much as anyone but they are musicians, half of what was queen and they are well within there rights to tour with whoever the hell they like. they never did it for the money and i went 3 times over the 2 tours to watch legends of the business perform songs by a band that i love. and if theyd not done that then id never be able to say id seen them

  • Brian May is pathetic!

  • come on paul your the man, and out of all the bands you pick to join queen what the heck id rather he got the doors back to gether now that would be crazy...quuen songs were made 4 freddy let em be..! i wouldnt like it if freddy sang bad company songs either just not right..

  • It seems this happens with every band, when they lose a singer they want to replace him and their is uproar but they do want to continue and don't care what anyone thinks, and so they should, they have every right too and also to keep the name

  • They shouldn't go on with this without Freddie ...it is everything else but not Queen even two of four are here ...it is a shame ...just take a look at performances of these songs with Freddie and without him ...you will understand me

  • @ilianiliev1973 It's aweful that Freddie isn't here but he needs to take some responsibility in the situation. I feel sorry for Roger, Brian & John. Their careers got cut short because of Freddie's lifestyle what are they supposed to do? stay in their mansions and live in the past? At least they are keeping Freddies legacy alive and we get to see them. Now Paul has gone we may never see them tour again and that makes me sad. Long live Queen in any form.

  • @rmtdrums you are right ..freddie's lyfestyle shouldn't stop them ..I agree with it ...but if you take a look at their solo projects you will agree with me that Freddie made the band to look and sound like Queen ...however ...I am a big Queen fan as well ...but nothing is the same ;)

  • if he can, I can sing with queen too, and you too, and him, and her and every single trump in this planet can sing with queen if this one can.

blast, guys at least change name...

    RIP QUEEN

  • @jakiesnumerki They did! This is not queen! This is queen + Paul Rodgers!

  • Terribly gets out of sync.

But anyway, it's amazing how much energy Freddie brought to the stage. He somehow brought everything to life - and I'm talking about strictly singing. There's no point to even bring in the performance. I mean like, whenever I listened to this song I always knew it wouldn't work without him. He is what made this song what it is and that goes for quite a few songs really. You can't freakin' stylize this song any differently else it just simply falls apart.

  • Give me Silver, Blue and Gold...the colors of the sky, I'm told....my rainbow is way overdue!

about time he gets his props

you dont like him fuck off

    PS

    your mom

  • Give Paule some credit, he never got the respect he deserved for Bad company, and now some shit bags with no fucking talent sing bad comp. how the fuck can you even have the balls to sing bad company and not be apart of bad comp. yes he is not freddy but he is a bad ass singer and i always been a big fan of bad company with Paule not that that other singer.

  • if ya don't like Paul fronting Queen....blame Freddie......he said he was the best singer he'd ever heard!! ROCK ON PAUL RODGERS!!!

  • utter crap... sad to see ...paul rodgers??????????? truly awful ... all i can say is to do this you need Gary Mullen

  • I want old Queen back.

  • paul far superior to fred

  • @TumblingDice1972 Eat shit

  • Oh, come on Vendimi3; how many of our legendary rock bands are able to perform concerts today with their original members?

I am greatful for anyone that Roger and Brian choose to bring in, otherwise we should say goodbye to Queen forever.

That would be a heartbreaking day for not only us, but it is so obvious they love and enjoy performing it for us still, would you deprive them of that?

  • people give paul some credit an stop tryin to compare him to freddie!!!freddie was one of a kind an paul will never live up to him but cut the guy some slack he is doing a good job!!!!

  • Otimo, muito bom.....

  • Is it just me or Paul Rodgers looks like Chuck Norris?

  • queen + Chuck norris ...... XD

  • @Ploutonakos Looks more like Danny Bonaduce to me lol

  • I just don't get it. Brian May and Roger Taylor were both a part of my childhood with their music, but how better if they retired in 1991. Or keep on with their projects - just don't call it "Queen". Queen are: Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor, John Deacon. And pretty much each of them was an unchangeable part of it. Deacon included.

  • @Vendimi3 It's not called Queen - they are on record as saying they didn't feel right calling it that - hence the + Paul Rodgers. I'd say that was pretty respectful on their part - and Paul's.

  • Id be interested too see what the song would be like if they reunited with David Bowie for that one. Either way of course its no Freddie Mercury up there but Paul did a great job.

  • yaaaaaa The Real Vanilla Ice man

  • Marvelous song!!! Thanks!! This music makes me to produce unbelievable music as well!! See more great music over on my profile!

  • sorry rogers you cant replace freddie :(

  • Rodgers does a good job, anyone who can sing with Queen and sound good has got true talent! I just pray one day ill be able to see Roger and Brian in concert! This video makes me miss John and Freddie terribly though :(

  • @NurseWeber25 If Paul is the besst substitution for Freddie, than God save us all! Why couldn't they found anyone better??

  • @NurseWeber25 It takes like 4 people on vocal duty for them to sings the songs even half as well as Freddie did, but I'd say they're doing pretty well. It would take an army of rock singers to fill those shoes.

  • Bravissimi...

  • Freddie Mercury, was just such a good performer and singer. He's VERY hard to replace. I think Paul has done a good job but the only person that could replace Freddie would be God ? Or maybe even better than God.

  • que malisimo es el paul rodgers mejor llamen a mika jejeje

  • @percydrums jajajajajjaaj

  • There are people in life that are irreplaceable and Freddie Mercury is one example of these people! Just as we are for our children.

  • This is why Jedward need to disappear from the public eye as soon as possible-this superb version, to as much of an extent as the original, makes theirs look absolute crap. Oh, and Vanilla Ice also needs shooting.

  • Paul gives this song justice in tribute to Freddie. Outstanding!

  • Plz a metronome for the bassist XD

    That start was shit!

  • paul rodgers no le queda el papel que tomo freddie es un asco paul que bueno que se separo como que nunca nadie va a ser como freddie

  • well... i really do love queen... but i think that without freddie this is not the same... or at least john deacon should be there being the one who plays the bass... we wont have freddie here anymore but john should be still in the band...

  • paul rodgers lo maximo lastima que ya no esta se separo de queen pero giaul queen dejo historia con freddy mercury

  • poul riger malisimoooooo ,te odio sos cualquiera

  • RIP Freddie Mercury

Paul Rodger did a great job, such an Amazing singer, like freddie.

  • I find this so sad without Freddie.

  • Braian May e Roger Taylor VERGOGNATEVI!! SPUTTANARE COSI' FREDDIE MERCURY E UNA PARTE DI STORIA DEL ROCK

  • Paul Rodger's vocals aren't terrible, but they seem awkward.. I'm pleasantly surprised by May and Taylor's contributions. Nobody can fill Freddie Mercury's shoes. IMHO, the only performer who could pull this off is David Bowie, who collaborated w/ Queen in 1981 to create this song. I saw Bowie sing it in concert in St Paul (1997) and it was fabulous. If I could mock up a Queen reunion it would be w/ May, Taylor, Deacon and Bowie (doing Queen & Bowie tunes). Meet me at the Dreamer's Ball!

  • Freddie was way way way better... Im not saying that Paul Rodgers is bad...Its good cos they all 3 sing and not only Paul..Brian rock... one of the best guitarists in the world (EVER) ...R.I.P. Freddie

  • I agree. Paul is not the best choice. But since I 'm no entertainment specialist, I really can't say much. But a great singer.

Brian May is amazing guy with a phd. He is the chancellor for an university.

Brian also makes his own guitar. I love to get one. What a great player!

Respect to Brian and Roger Taylor. I hope to see them once in my life time.

  • Paul Rodgers is an amazing singer, but he doesn't fit right in Queen. I wouldn't even call this Queen - no matter who the band gets for singer, it would never ever be Queen again without Freddie.

  • Vanilla Ice sued by David Bowie!!!

  • it just doesn't have that special thing Freddie and John gave to the song :(

    not great but ok

  • one of the best versions of a song that is missing legendary original artists... i'm actually amazed at how well they did.

  • I honestly dont get y ppl critisize this version. it doesnt matter. they're just trying to please the fans. ppl are always like "oh they sound bad" well u would to when u start gitting old. this doesnt change the fact Queen is still good

  • Freddie is dead. Actually there is 3 piece missing. Freddie, Bowie and John deacon. They all moved on. Some retired Bowie was never part of queen and Freddie is gone.

I think as the new Queen, they are great! I love to see Roger and Brian sing. It's nice to see they are having a great time ...

  • What was queen thinking! They are missing the two key pieces of this song, Freddie and Bowie. They ARE the song. Davids version with Gayle anne dorsey is whilst no where near as good as the original is at least better then this poor attempt.

  • God, I've loved queen like no other band: WHY DON'T THEY JUST QUIT? THIS IS SOULESS

  • Come on guys . We know queen is never the same without freddie. And also pr is not queen. It's plus pr. Besides, look at them at there age, they are having a great time. How many time did you see Roger or Brian sing? For now, this is queen. And my love for there music will never change!

  • Queen will never be the same band.Paul is not Freddy. He will never be Freddy. Queen will never be the same band. Paul is a star is in own right in musical history. What do you people expect.?Life changes get over it! . Good job Paul and Queen.

  • @Pussycatfeathers why are you hearing this song if it's horrible?! It's awesome, I watched it on TV last year when several bands met in London for a tribute to Nelson Mandela, and, truly, I'd compare QUEEN to the Beatles if they hadn't been in different times. :P Dirty asshole!!

  • i dont know what the last part of your comment is supposed to mean try10121416?? but if it was an insult for me...what for??firstly i love paul rodgers and queen and listened to this because i like his singing, but i just dont like this song!!! ive never liked it and i will never like it, thats my opinion, everyone has different tastes in music, there are too many people getting aggressive on here ....its really stupid!!!

  • @Pussycatfeathers agh sry I wrote that a while ago, I was just rly into swearing but yeah it's stupid -.-" SO, I'm sorry :) And I didn't mean it, I just thought u were a QUEEN hater >.< zo yeah-

  • This is not good. I'm a big Queen fan, and i think is a song Paul rodgers never can sing. He is a good singer for the most Queen songs.

The version of David Bowie, and Gail ann Dorsey is much better.

  • I think thats why Brian and Roger are singing parts in this. and I don't think Paul is a very good singer for Queen

  • Freddie was the best. But life must go on. This is great that Roger and Brian decided to make another record. Life is too short. Let's have fun. And I belive queen are having a great time as the matured.

  • he haves troubles with high notes at 1:04

  • Me gusta!!
