You know that you can do a powerslide on that last spiral, right? Without falling off, of course.

yeah, but it's not faster, and actually loses time.

Husky is right. Power slides not all the time help. Sometimes they even slow you down. However at the last spiral he could of skipped it which wouldv'e made him completed it quicker. To do so , when you go on the zoomer go to the right side of the rail and start jumping constantly, if you time precisley you float in mid air and land straight near the finish line.

It's allowed on the PP, this one is just very hard to pull off :P the other one is much easier.

No, weight doesn't matter, just speed, and most karts are fast enough to jump down to the loop. You have to hold Up after jumping to fastfall though.
