Saw them here in Winnipeg two years ago at a concert, and a couple of years before at the Winnipeg Folk Festival. Last act of the night - the stars were shining and the moon was rising, and they started with blasting "Coal Not Dole" into the night air. They absolutely blew us away!!
This song is actually called Where the World Divides, and there is a much better video of it on their myspace account:-)
My Scottish hubby introduced me to this band's music 10 years ago and they have been my absolute favorite band in the world ever since...I agree- I REALLY wish they would come to the states to tour!!!
They sometimes do tour the US although it has been 15 years since I saw them. They're my favorite band as well, although you should check out Cornmeal, a "jamgrass" band. Glad to see another generation is playing acoustic music!
Saw them in London in February not long before the album came out. They were awesome!
But then, what else would you expect from the Oysterband? They're past masters at this. They're about as good as it gets, in pretty much every respect.
How about a USA tour Oysterband? We are ready.....

The singer is so camp, he looks like a callboy. So funny.
