azimo is better he can dance, walk, run, serve food, push a cart, kick a ball, walk up stairs and down, cant SHOCK YOU WITH WIRES THAT ARE SHOWING, and etc
Impressive multiple battery gauges! Ha Ha. If they ever get these robots working without a need for spotters, many Japanese citizens will be out of work. These things are too fragile, and complicated. I like how these things compare with the US BigDog robot. They kick it and it still can re-balance itself.
very i'robotish, cool though, i do believe the japanese will produce the first consumer robots, robots could be apart of our lives sooner than we think, if they keep making process like this in robotics
Asimo looks better, but this one has really good fluid hip motions and a normal looking face kind of. hopefully they will keep working on it to make just as good as asimo or maybe even better!
i was just thinking the same! it really looks like i robot but not so modern. i think that somebody would make some kind of "i robot" but peoples would scare it xD
That's energy consumption at the knee joints though - the energy required just gets transfered to hip rotation if you're talking about what I think you are. It could be less energy, but it's less natural and harder to step over things and whatnot when you walk with your knees stretched... It's not really practical.
That should be called the Pimp-BOT 2
