  • Yeah, a little ironic that you would probably not be able to bring that on to a Trans World Airlines flight now-a-days.

  • Joey, ROCK STAR.

  • I know, right!

  • yaaaay your cat is in the video again :D

  • Nice little thing, a nice piece of history as you say Duane ! I think it may have been one of those 'give-away trinkets' Corporate gift type thing that usually went to the 1st Class seat passengers etc, back then, yeah, I reckon a knife that small and insignificant would not cause a stir eh ? It was more Explosives and bombs of some type and guns that were watched for ?

  • I don't recall mine saying TWA, but I had that exact thing, from around the same era.

  • you know right before you said it, i was thinking to myself, "they say US issue, but man ive never even seen one and i wonder who's getting those, id sure like to be issued one."

  • i had one of those

  • is the knife supposed to be airport safe or something

  • No knife is airport safe.

  • im guessing it was probably made for flight attendants, bottle opener and such. nail file for those cute attendants that have to keep looking pretty and all.

  • Back in the day it was.

I took my Swiss Army Knife on planes many times before 9-11-2001.
